My dog Max
I had a lucid dream during my nap where I realized I was dreaming, put my pointer finger through the palm of my hand for a reality check and then began to fly. I looked down and saw a big dog running around and knew it was Max. We had to put him down a year ago and he has visited me in 2 lucid dreams so far. Each time, the emotions I feel while i'm hugging and petting him are so powerful that I start crying in the dream and wake up very happy. I think the part that gets me the most is how he looks exactly how he used to and SO REAL when i'm dreaming, his face is a perfect replica, and when I'm awake I can't even come close to picturing him with that much clarity.
Have you had any wonderful dreams about old pets or lost loved ones? what happened? How did they make you feel?

I've seen my dog too. And believe it or not, his name was Max. He died Christmas Eve two years ago. He was old, and I watched him die in our living room. I saw him in a normal dream, but it didn't relieve me. I woke up with crushing sadness instead. I'm glad you're experience was better than mine

I have seen the dreams of my loved ones. And I feel proud after meeting them. It was a wonderful experience for me.

I had a very vivid and detailed regular dream, in which my cat, we had to put down some years ago, recognized me and jumped into my arms. I was so happy she is not mad at me, because I felt huge guilt about that.

I saw my nanna who died from Alzheimer's or something. In the dream she was alive and she said she was just playing a joke on us. And then, randomness

Yes, I have had pretty much the same experience as you. I had a dog we lost a few years back after he ate a poisonous mushroom. In the dream he always looks so real, and is right there.
