      Nyquil and LDs

I've had a cold for 2 days and was hesitant to take Nyquil as I did not want to affect my lucid dreaming.

Well, I was feeling bad enough that I took two gel caplets the last two days, and had 3 awesome lucids and a 'Vivid' as I call them. So dont worry about taking the stuff if you need to! Maybe it even helps induce...any experiences out there?

Let me describe my VIVID as it was actually pretty fascinating to me. I was in an apartment of a friend, I assume. As I was walking toward the kitchen I saw a tiny feather floating in the air along with dust particles visible in the sunlight, and it was just enough of interest that I did a very cursory RC.

Not breathing well due to the cold, and sure I was awake, the RC did not work this time. Since I had earlier had a lucid, I was in a philosophical mood, and looking around I thought 'how does one REALLY know they are dreaming? Here I am awake, and yet my lucid seemed just as real'.

I then was looking at the counters, touched them, looked at the ceiling and thought 'well, I can feel the slight ache in my knees...maybe thats why dreams are not as real.

About then I awoke, but it was more like being in one reality one moment and immediately finding yourself in another one. I was just as aware/awake there as I was here. I read somewhere that DILDs were rated 6 on a reality scale vs 8 for WILD, but I would rate that dream close to a 10....examining that world thinking I was awake and not seeing any flaws was awesome!

Yeah I had my first lucid dream on nyquil. I think it may just suppress REM for most of your sleep so you experience REM rebound for the final part. Just an idea. I wouldn't take it just to get lucid though.
