Recurring Dream Characters that assist with becoming lucid?

Just wondering if any of the other posters out there have any dream characters that tend to pop by and cause you to realise you are dreaming and therefore 'go lucid'?

I have 2, the first one is my childhood pet cat, he swings by my dreamscapes from time to time and instantly I become lucid, I am not sure why, when more strange things happen that should cause lucidity. Last night he broke my 2 week dry spell by walking by when I was dreaming I was standing in my bedroom. I realise who he is and that he passe away years ago and that causes lucidity. Although quite a lot of the time I end up petting him and following him about and lose the lucidity, so it's a bit of a double edged sword.

Not sure if this counts, but the other character that has caused lucidity is me. Whenever I see my reflection in a dream, it's like I'm trying to give myself clues I'm dreaming. Usually this works. From winking to putting on strange faces when I see myself. The strangest being sat on a tram and seeing a 17 year old version of myself in the mirror. This didn't cause me to become lucid straight away until my reflection started waving at me and this opened the doorway to a strange lucid dream that night.

So anyway, interested to hear if anyone else has any recurring characters that help them get lucid and who/what they are?
