      My lucids don't have "plots"...

Something I've noticed, after looking through a few other members' DJ's, is that whenever I get lucid my dreams don't really have a "plot" like other peoples dreams do. Instead, it's like I've just been given an environment to experience and explore. When I'm not lucid, my dreams are completely normal, but when I am, it's like my brain just leaves me alone and tells me to go for it.

Even weirder, when I become lucid in the middle of a regular dream, the story of that dream seems to just abruptly "end". All the people and things are still there, but nothing really happens unless I allow it to happen. Does this happen to anyone else?

Isn't that good? Less chance to loose lucidity unless you choose to engage without measure. My lucids are usually like that too, great opportunity comes from less distraction don't you think?

It is a matter of what sleep phase you are in and how much your imagination wanders. I recommend that everyone eventually learn to control the randomness of a dream. It is handy to have no plot when you want to train your skills. Then you can work on summoning objects and then making them burst into flames, and so on.

However, you can also learn to be in touch with the thing that regulates the random plot and DC aspects of LDs, and adjust the setting. You will someday wish for adventures or interesting twists as a form of entertainment. For now, you are lucky because you can learn more control if DCs are not hassling you and the plot does not keep changing. Later you will be able to choose to relax and let DCs and plots to happen more randomly.

It's kinda normal (at least for me)...it has happened in many of my lucid dreams! sometimes -in my case- I'm stuck with a boring environment with no dream characters to entertain me

Huh, cool! I guess I'm not that weird at all! That's nice to know.
