I haven't met someone yet who had lucid dreams every single night. But there are some people who have it almost everyday. I suppose it is possible to have lucids every time you want to. However, I'm sure it would need plenty of practice and perseverance, as well as dedication.

Maybe it's a dream and if I scream, it will burst at the seams.

Well, dreaming is not a game. You can't just push a button and make something happen... Unless you know and believe it will happen. There is alot of threads giving good advice under the dream control forum so you should check that out.

But as stated above, the trick is to know that you are dreaming, and to understand that you are free to do whatever you want.
An example could be my first lucid dream, where i grabbed a man by his throat and ran, dragging him behind me without a problem. But as soon as i thought: "Would i really be able to carry a man in one hand in real life" he became incredibly heavy and i couldn't carry him anymore. That is because i questioned my ability to do it.

So don't think: "Can i do it?".
Just go ahead and DO it!

It's very normal to have unstable lucids, especially in your first few lucids. Don't worry, it will get better with time and practice. As Buhl stated above, believe that you can do it! You can use stabilization techniques to prolong the dream and you can practice dream control by trying out different things. Check this out: http://www.dreamviews.com/f12/ninas-...torial-118317/

      Good luck!

Is it possible? I have heard of people who say most dreams they have are lucid but my visceral sense is that it is impossible to induce a lucid dream at will. However, willfulness is an important element in the process. I am lucky to get one lucid dream a week... and that's usually when I'm trying to induce a LD.

There are people who have reported having consistently more than one lucid dream per night, there was even an unique case of a guy who said he was always lucid and wanted it to stop LOL
Of course that's very questionable. Personally, I think it's very possible to have at least one LD per night.

I have about one to two a week, never lasting that long, but I've never really put much effort into it. Most mornings I remember one or two dreams, whether lucid or not, and they're normally pretty vivid. I wonder if I actually tried how much my frequency would increase. I've been having those one or two a week since long before I knew there was a name for it.

hukif says he has about 4 a night.

I know someone that can WILD every night when they go to bed.

I know another person that gets 6/7 days a week on average.

      Definitely possible. Tis my aim.

After a lot of practice, sometimes, you will become lucid on accident. I usually average 4-5 lucids per week, most of them on purpose, but I'll occasionally become lucid in my dreams randomly without the intention of becoming lucid. (Probably happens like once a week.)

It just takes time. I've been meditating for awhile as well.

I think its perfectly understandable that someone could be lucid almost all the time, especially if they were very experienced.

The sailor does not control the sea, nor does the lucid dreamer control the dream. Like a sailor, lucid dreamers manipulate or direct themselves in the larger expanse of dreaming; however, they do not control it. Lucid dreaming appears to be a co-created experience. ~Robert Waggoner
