Anthropomorphic & Theriomorphic Experiences of the Unconscious Mind

I am interested to hear peoples experiences in interacting with their autonomous complexes. Has anyone here ever had a significant experience with their Anima/Animus or Shadow in a LD? If so, what was it like and how did you know they were manifestations of your subconscious? If there was a discussion did this alter your self-consciousness positively or negatively?
