Thread: My Lucid Dreaming Awareness Plan For 2013

Some bad and good news,
So I think I will get the bad stuff out the way first, I have lost access to my google drive doc which stores the script. This isn't really as serious as you think, I just need a editor to send me the link and I can get back on it. And now the good news, things are starting to fall in to place. @Nopizza thanks, if you could contact that really good animator, it seems to be the only thing we don't really have, that would be great . You can help with editing the script as well, that's completely your choice. To everyone else, and I know I keep saying this, good job we are actually going to pull this off thanks as well I'm glad we have got a passionate community wanting to spread the word of what we love. But bare in mind the results could be astronomical... But it could also only get a couple of thousand views. It all depends on advertising so maybe, if people want, on the chat today at around 15:00PM GMT 10:00AM EST we could discuss this? it's up to you but it's a big factor that we are going to have to think about at least soon.

Ok People,
Well it's actually going real good, nothing bad to report this week. Nopizza found a animator, which is the best! Because there incredibly hard to find. And everyone knows what this means, we have got to write another script, which doesn't have to be like the vocal script. I will need 4 people personally I believe Paigeyemps should be in this group, because she has helped so much The other places are open, PM me if you want them. In other news, I've started lucid dreaming again, and I'm not stopping, so that should be good motivation. Anyways I want to finish off with saying that everyone who has worked on the project, your amazing! Without all of us working together this would never have been possible. And I'm sorry for the inactive week, but that was out of my control. Lets finish this!

Heya, I know I'm a little late to the party, but I do freelance graphic design in photoshop and illustrator, if you have any odd jobs I'd be happy to do those for free.

Evaluating the current situation,
I don't mean to sound negative or anything like that because I know it's hard to fit a non-paid project in to everyone's time, but I have noticed the over all buzz has died down significantly regarding this project. I still want this project to be a reality, and I have contacted a top end animation studio in London who are willing to take my project on, and even minimise the costs due to the co-owner of the animation studio being a lucid dreamer. I mean honestly I would have liked to keep this as a Dreamviews project, but the way things are going that does not seem possible. Now let me clarify that I love Dreamviews, and nothing is changing but is it realistic to develop such a project with people coming from all corners of the earth with no means of contact besides the forum. I don't think that's going to happen. I think what I'm going to do is to assemble a team of 4 other Dreamviews members, and together we will make this animation video me being the one that talks to the studio and pays for it. Honestly I hope no one takes this negatively because I'm just trying to be realistic here. The 4 members can be anyone provided that you have a passion for the hobby.

I don't get it, you already picked four for the visual script? Why would you pick people again?

@DutchRaptor These 4 people are effectively producers, although not investing. The whole things with the scripts would only work if this was a Dreamviews project, which is probably not going to happen due to the popularity of this project declining. You are welcome to join the production team, however I want this to go to the next level and there for the members must be dedicated to a certain exstent, like regular meetings on IRC or whatever. I'm not saying that what has been written up until now is not going to be accounted for, but this just has to be the new approach if I want to get things done. Hope this haven't annoyed people,

There are many months left of 2013. Take your time and have patience. There shouldn't be such a rush to finish the project, and if you personally contact the members which you need to talk with and give them a date and a time, I'm sure it will be possible.

@araishu I sort of miss-worded the last part of that post. I'm not in a rush, but this production company have everything at there disposal professional animators in nearly all program's, custom music, Skilled voice actors and there for it much easier on me. I still want the video to be influenced by Dreamviews members and that's the main reason I want this group of 4. I know there's lots of months left in 2013 heck it's only just started, but that's not the point. I can't do this how I originally planned due to not having many supporters as I thought I would. Don't get me wrong people that did support the project are great and I thank you, but it's just not going to work as I originally planned.

@Caiocontieri Well... If you feel passionate about lucid dreaming, have time to join a occasionally meeting and feel like spreading awareness of the subject is a good idea. Then I Would be happy to consider you as a producer of the project. If you want to increase your changes then I suggest PMing me with why you think I should pick you to be one of the four producers.

Does that render me out of the 3D animation part of the project, regarding your encounter with the London production team?

@marcusQ that's completely up to you. I mean you can still work on this project as a producer... But if you mean animation/music/voice then at the moment that's not really nessicary as that comes with the bundle from the studios. If you want to be part of the production team, then send me a PM with why you think I should choose you ( there's been quite a few applicants).

@ BrandonBoss when did I say don't want help? I need a production team. That's what the studio suggested and honestly I still want Dreamviews to influence the overall product that is produced. But if you want me to take my signature down, then I will take it down. I hope this hasn't 'annoyed' you as that's the sort of vibe I'm getting off your post?

Nah, not really annoyed, it is just weird that you are switching from everything done on DV by DV members to a production company. It still works with your main point of "making lucid dreaming more commonly known" which is good.

Another thing is that you kind of seem annoyed about people not helping as much as you thought, and not getting direct support from DV, even though two dream guides were willing to help out (paigeyimps and DutchRaptor), which seems like a good deal to me. Don't really want to argue with ya since I like ya and all.

Ah don't worry then. I'm definitely not as good as a studio team, anyway. Good luck with your project!

@BrandonBoss Yeah I guess I should really take that part of the signiture down... Btw don't get me wrong everyone that has offered to help, your the best! That includes the dream guides, who I thank so my much for showing intreast in my project. Paige is even on the the production team (if you can really call it that) and if DutchRaptor wants I would love to have him on the production team. There both great people, and there love for lucid dreaming inspires me. So DutchRaptor PM if you are interested, hopefully you are because your a great guy! Anyway like I said I really wanted this to be a Dreamviews project, I thought it would add a layer of speciality to it to like say at the end "made by the Dreamviews community" that's how I originally wanted it to be, I promise you that. And I'm trying to stick to that promise with having a production board representing the Dreamviews community.

I have just become aware of this project GangsterPanda, if it turns out as good as it claims it will (Im sure it will with the team you've got going on!) Then I will help by advertising the final project on my Youtube Channel, I may not have as many subs as the subreddit, but every little counts... P.S If you need a voice actor, I would love to help!

Currently GP is out due to personal reasons and the project got put on hiatus. Sorry we didn't post anything here about it. When panda gets back he shall answer your questions.
