Time in Lucids
When I was a younger, I use to DILD several times a week, and my dreams back then seemed to always last a substantial amount of time.
Does time in dreams correspond to waking time, or could it be our perception of time, or..?
So, how much time can a lucid dream take up, potientially? My friend once was in a dream, which he lived two weeks inside, doing his normal life, and was shocked to wake up. Does time vary from person to person, and can a lucid last a long time?
How long is a lucid? In the dream? In waking life? It's been a while for me, thanks!

The mind is functioning differently, sequences and form of dream scenarios differ from real life (and from each other), and so your sense of time might be altered. However, as you approach your waking state, your sense of time will probably be closer to how you experience it in reality. Time dilation can still be present.
To me, even though (non-lucid) dreams only total 2-3 hours per night, it feels like an entire day (or more) was experienced. At the most, lucid dreams only last 10-30 minutes. You can still do a lot within that time frame, though.

It kind of seems dream time is -almost- irrevelant to waking time, haha.

Haha. Yeah. Many disagree. Like Stephen Laberge.

Not so long ago I had a pretty long dream. It was a dream in which I went to bed and woke up the day after and continued just doing normal stuff.
The evening before I was thinking about very long dreams, maybe the thought of long dreams just made me recall a lot more, but the dream seemed to last pretty long.
In a couple of days my exams will be over and I'll try to dedicate myself as much as I can to my lucid dreams.
I'll post some progress if I have any.

My normal dreams usually last in summary at least a day or so of dream time, or at least i think so. Lucid dreams, well, i have not had long enough lucids yet to test the time factor yet.

Wow having a dream that would feel as if it was a year could be completely awesome :D . My dreams are usually are quite relevant to my sleep usually . I never had a dream which seemed more than an hour.

I have had dreams that lasted weeks. One I actually became lucid after 2 weeks dream time. That was trippy. :)

Well so far I haven't been putting all that much effort into my dreams, but they are all very vivid and I can recall enough of them as is.
One of them has been interesting because it seemed like it took place in a couple of days, it felt like I was sleeping for a week.
I lived in poverty in some third world country, it was a nice experience.
Also had a lucid in which I became connor from assassins creed 3. I think the lucid was about 10 minutes tops.

sometimes when i wake up look at my watch and realize that i still have time to sleep so i fell asleep again i have a dream that becomes lucid for a while and in dream time that dream takes a whole day and then i wake up and i look at my watch and only an hour in real life time has passed so for sure dream time and LD time can be very different .

Tonight I had 2 lucid dreams, the first ones of 2013. I was constantly concentrating on the scenery & my feelings and the dreams lasted very long. In the second I focused on time dilation, I sat at a window and watched at the world, while just purely concentrating. The world was breaking down & everything was falling apart, but I had the plan to watch as long as possible. I was doing quite good but after a while these large wasp-like creatures came along. They were about 2 metres high & also had big claws. After seeing them I went inside & closed 2 doors, but soon they just tore the doors apart & I was trapped. I dont remember the rest :P. it feels like my dream didnt want me to be in there for too long.
