I had a few dream characters whose face went out of focus sort of like in the video

question: Is this sorta what visuals and shadow people look like that many say they see during sleep paralysis? just wondering

Shadow people? Yes, it's kind of similar, but that's not the point. The visual cortex isn't receiving information properly (from the eyes) during a hypnagogic/hypnopompic state, hence the dark blotches. Since you are still partially dreaming, this imagery can be transformed into something else, such as a spider or hooded being.

This visual is created for a different reason.

This is extremely interesting. If they could make this work for thing you see in your mind's eye or in your thoughts we might soon be able to watch others and or own deams:shock: but then again it could go down another path an possibly used for mind reading which is scary to me

I know that, before I even seen this video I visualized that this is what the "shadow people" looked like when I heard about them. I was just wondering for those who have these kinds of visual hillucinations during SP if the shadowy entities they see look sort of like the images in the video.

yes, I want to know what it exactly looks like when peoples faces go out of focus when I get near them. DC seem to have this really annoying tendency to change or get smaller when I try to kiss them in lucid dreams.

I don't know about other people, but on rare occasions when I get sleep paralysis, the shadow people are much more defined. In fact, they look like normal people to me the more I look at them, they just kindof evolve into scary-looking ones.
