wanted: help to develop the amount of control I have and somebody to catergorize the types of dreams

Hi All,
I am new to this site but I believe I have been having lucid dreams on a fairly regular basis (one a week) for sometime now.
I will explain the dreams I have and the feelings I have during them in the hope that somebody can categorize what is happening to me and maybe help me gain a higher and longer lasting level of control so here goes :lol:
I have found that if I fall asleep on my side in a praying position with my back exposed that once I have drifted off to sleep, somewhere early in the dream, I become aware that I am dreaming. To test this I will jump from somewhere high and can either stop myself from falling so fast or, to some extent, I can fly but in a kind of uncontrolled way as if something is pulling me. once I land I can control my movements but I have no control over the environment and I often have a feeling that something very dark and sinister is about to happen and it sometimes does which is extremely frightening I would like help in stopping this from happening, I also sometimes feel that I have stopped breathing and I am not sure if this is in the dream or if I do actually stop breathing which is very worrying!!
when trying to control things in the dream I am constantly getting a kind of pulling feeling as if its a struggle and I could lose it at any moment, so any tips on having a greater level of control would be much appreciated.
To finish off, the last dream I had I came across a Mirror about 2ft high by 3ft wide in which I could clearly see my reflection but it wasn't responding to my movements and just staring out at me, I felt a little bit scared but after looking at it for a while I decided to put my head through the mirror as soon as I did this I felt a feeling of dread and heard an evil laugh my head was stuck and it was darkness all around me eventually I pulled my head from the mirror but then there was no reflection I felt as if it was a warning not to do this! are there any situations in my dreams that can have a detrimental effect on my mental well being as this was quite worrying I almost felt that I would be stuck there for good!
I Know this is a long post but I hope somebody can help, please leave a comment no matter how small it seems im interested in getting in touch with others that have these dreams as I don't know anybody else that has them thank you guys I hope to here from you :lol:

We dream about scarier things when we are stressed in real life. So if you have some problems or something, I suggest you deal with those as soon as you can. Also, it would help if before you go to bed, you put aside your problems and think or visualize about things you wanna dream about instead.

We often get various odd sensations when dreaming, so it is nothing big to worry about. If it is a dream, no matter how much you hold your breath, nothing bad will happen. If it is real, then sooner or later you WILL wake up because your body has survivial instincts for those kinds of things. If it is real, it may be sleep apnea, which is a sleep condition where the person stops breathing or has shallow breaths for a few moments during the night. If you think you might have that, you can ask your doctor.

Generally, dream control gets better with practice. Whenever you get lucid, try out different things. If it is hard. Yu can start out small, such as using telekinesis on small objects, or maybe floating off the ground a short distance. Then later you can maybe do it with big objects and fly even higher. The thing about dream control is you just have to keep trying. You WILL get better, just think positive and be persistent.

It's all about how you look at your dreams. If you think of them as scary and worry about them too much, then surely you will end up more fearful of those things, which in turn will make you dream about them more. On the other hand, if you think of them as learning experiences, then you will have a better outlook on them. And it's always better to have a positive mindset about dreaming. Just always remember that they are dreams, and you may not always have control over them, but you always have control over how you look at them.
