Unable to lucid dream?
I'm just attempting the method where you lay still and wait till you get lucid. The problem is, I see the hallucinations and the dream form but it never does. It's said that it should take around 20 minutes but when i open my eyes after it not working i look and it has been an hour?

Sounds like your expecting too much and being impatient. I also really don't advise anyone to start out with WILD's as they are difficult and require a lot of awareness. At least in my opinion they are, try it a few times and see if it works for you.
There isn't such thing as one method or guide to rule them all, some different methods provide different LD experiences and then there are different ways of doing all of well known methods (DILD, DEILD, WILD, MILD, WBTB). It really just requires a lot of experimentation, reading, and dedication. Just read a lot on the wiki, and read what other people have to say, use the search function as it actually works on this forum (unlike other forums).
Try staring here: Introduction Zone
Pay attention to the stickies as well.

You don't need to wait to get lucid, you actually need to fall asleep while remaining conscious  . Looking that you got to the HH/Dream forming point, i would say you were fairly close, maybe you were not sleepy/relaxed enough? Try adjusting attempt time until you are sleepy enough to be able to fall asleep and awaken enough to not lose consciousness, also try figuring out your REM time. :peek:
Other than that, yeah, people find WILD to be the hardest to learn, but ironically it's the only method which worked for me. As BossMan said: try other techniques as well and figure out which one works best for you. :shadewink:

What time are you doing it at? You should be WILDing after 4-7 hours of sleep NOT before you fall asleep. When you are WILDing, you are basically falling asleep like you normally would but you just keep your mind aware. If you see hallucinations, put yourself in them. Imagine yourself in the dream, focus on getting into the dream.
Also, don't expect to get it your first try! It usually takes people many, many attempts before they get it right. Keep trying! :)
