Not sure what to call this thread, I have so many things to say...
First of all, hi! I'm brand new to the community, I registered maybe 15 minutes ago. :)
I've known about LDing and vaguely desired to get into it for some time, and last night was my first real try at it. I did nose and finger-through-palm RCs all day, and got off my laptop over an hour before I went to bed. I read a book until around 10:30, then got ready for bed. I tried visualizing random scenes, but it felt kind of forced, so I let my mind wander while mentally telling myself "I'm dreaming". I eventually found my mind drifting into a scene in the Kingdom Hearts universe, and kind of creating a backstory for myself. I could actually see the colours of the scene start to form around me and got this weird sensation in my back that kind of spread to the rest of me... I assumed it was a transition, but then I kind of recoiled from the dream a bit and realised my heart rate was elevated and really intense. This scared me too much to remain relaxed, and I jolted back awake... I fell asleep normally after that, but in the morning, I had much better dream recall than usual (3 specific ones!)
Anything like this ever happen to anyone else on their first LD attempt? It was weird and I feel like it might've been abnormal...
