Thread: can ld/dream controll hide dream signs?

Can you miss important dream signs by controlling your dreams?

More info:

I have been having ld since I was about 5yrsi old. (My father taught me how so I could stop recurring nightmares) so I consider myself able in my dreams.
I always controlled them, down to the plot, the people, the scenery, everything. I do this because if I don't I always have nightmares. I tend to have the same or similar dream since I can controlled it better, and I enjoy it.

Well my father was watching dr. Oz and they had a lady there to interpret dreams. (Gel manicure and dream to lose weight episode)
So last night my dad had a ld and had a breakthrough. He read his dream signs and realised when he was younger he was the youngest and therefore needed to be tough. In his dream at the end he was told he had always been tough. So know he believes thats his buried issue and now that he knows he can help himself lose weight.

He asked me about my dreams and i realised there werent any dream signs i could recognise. Everything in my dreams i pick. Its like i push away any subconscious things.

I think if i pull back on my controll a bit and go looking for signs like a house aka dream locations (his was his granmas house) i could find something... or i could turn it into a nightmare. Which are rather hard to controll and tend to upset me.

Should i stop controlling so much, or can i find my dream symbols/signs on the outter rim of my controlled world.

Im worried about this a bit now, since i might have been missing important info doing whatever in my dream world.
