Hi Lucidit
I was was at Dubrovnik, is that anywhere near Karlovac? Loved it there, such a beautiful country.
Cheers
Gordon
yeah, lovely country, yet led by very bad people (very very bad...)
No, it's not near Karlovac. You were at the southern part of the country. The Karlovac is in the middle of the country

You know, I always wanted to go to America :D (maybe once i will :D)
Hello. Welcome. :)
In order to RC in a dream you normally are lucid, and that is the part most of the people here are trying to get to. In order to question reality in a dream you have to question reality normally. That is why people say to so RCs as much as possible. Note what makes this reality actually reality. Good luck. If you need help with finding techniques or have any questions, just ask. :) good luck.
ok BB. It's late here. Will it help to RC in dream tonight if I question myself ''am I dreaming'' until the bedtime?
I want to dream that i'm in the game and normally play it, only thing i'm the main character and i know how the game goes.
I will be using MILD tehnique (must repeat ''I'm going to have Lucid dream tonight'', right?)
 no one has called me BB before. Reminds me of DeeDee... I do not like :P
Every little bit helps, If it is really late, then it is always better to sleep and get better rest, because you need to be on a good sleep schedule to lucid (most of the time). If you have an hour or so before bed and nothing to do, I would recommend visual meditating.
Sit down on your bed and think about being lucid. Go through the visuals I mentioned before, and keep thinking something like "I'm dreaming" or really whatever floats your boat. I think that mantras should all be personalized. This I think would be your best bet for a lucid dream tonight. :P I do 20 minutes of this before I sleep if I am not too tired (laying down, not sitting up).
If you are wanting a lucid dream on intent alone, then believe more than anything that you will have a lucid dream tonight.
Bad recall vs. great intent.
This I feel is a problem with a lot of people, you are more aware during the later hours of the night (most of the time) you have better recall and more vivid dreams. This can be changed if you have great recall though. Most of the time you only remember the last dream you came out of. If you are sleeping 8 hours (like a good little boy) and you are only remembering the last dream, that means that there is 7 hours apart from when you set your intent to become lucid, and the dream you are going to remember. A long time for your sleeping brain to remember that you are dreaming.
I recommend micro awakenings (I wake up after every REM) or just normal WBTB to reset intention, gain awareness, and get better recall.
This all might not work. Being able to lucid dream at will is normally a long journey, but I believe it is fun, good, and well worth it.
Any more questions, just ask me here or PM me. I hope this helps. :P
SO, now I just go to bed, lay down and think about the game (me as the character) as much as I can and detailed?
I will have to wake up maybe every 1:30 hour just to gain awareness and then just return to my dreams? (how to do that without alarm)
I have school tomorrow (5:30 must be awake)
and btw, sry for BB, BrandonBoss :)
better now?
Well, that could lead you to incubating your dream. Not sure if you are needing this to be lucid or you just wanna get there lucid or not?
Here is a dream incubation tutorial:

Here is the definition of a lucid dream:

Waking up every hour and a half(ish) is actually something you have to learn how to do if you want to do without an alarm. With an alarm you probably won't be able to sleep and will have a really hard time remembering dreams.
This will wake you up after like 3 hours or so:
Drink a ton of water before you go to bed! When you wake up after REM, instead of just turning around and going back to sleep, this will make you get up and pee. If you are sleeping longer than 6 hours, you can drink a bunch of water again and you should wake up at six hours. This will wake you up twice.
I have my own way of waking up whenever I want, but that takes about two weeks to a month to get down, don't think it will help tonight.
hh, okay.
I'll try to lucid onight. Maybe i get Lucid :D
I'll will tell the results tomorrow
hey again, I got in a trouble.
I tried meditating now and I'm having really hard time imaginating the scenes and other. When i try to imagine myself in, i get the scene good and then it just gets erased and I imagine it again and so on... It gives me headache when imaginating. Do you know why I cant normally imagine a scene?
You know, I always wanted to go to America :D (maybe once i will :D)[/QUOTE]
Hey Lucidit: Now that you are Lucid dreaming you can just dream about going on trips. I often dream about a Mediterranean type city. When I wake up it is just like I went on holiday. I think my wife gets a bit jealous of me because in my dreams I get a break from the ice and snow of Canada and spend some time in the warm sun.
I dont Lucid dream yet :((
But i sure will try
kk
sir, you just told me something I never thought of. I will tonight write about the dream i want and read it then.
Thank you :D
Your dream goals will become your subconscious expectation of what is possible to do/see/experience in your dreams. To begin with I made the mistake myself when I was taking dream vacations to a city in a warm climate. I was setting my expectation to a place that exists in this world and was therefore being limited by the natural laws (gravity, solid objects, dumb DC's, etc). Now I try to set my dream expectations to a new world/state/dimension where anything is possible.
Cheers Gordon
Very good point. I would say set a date by your goals. If you don't accomplish it by then then go onto a different goal. Evaluate your goals through any new information you have on dreams.
No! Haha.
Like short term goal. I will do this by February 1st
Long term goal. I will do this by April 1st.
Having one goal a night would be hard to remember when you are first starting. I have been trying to get to a place all month. :( so if I don't make it back by the 1st of Feb. I am giving up.
It is hard to remember your goals in LDs sometimes. Sometimes you will spend the entire LD convincing your friend that he is dreaming...
Hey brandonBoss,
I don't if you are religious so I hope I don't offend you, I don't believe the bible myself but it would be a cool idea if Jesus was Lucid dreaming. His dream goals were not limited by the natural laws so he could walk on water and stuff like that. When he turned water into wine it would be like water bending (one of the hydrokinetic abilities to control water). What do you think?
I don't really get offended much. It is a very specific thing that offends me. I am what you would call religious, but not what I would call it.
I do like the idea that anything in the Bible can be done in a dream, especially the miracles that Jesus did. Maybe you should read the bible and get some ideas on what you can do in an LD? I have only done a few things from it so far, but I plan on checking out more.
The problem with that is that Jesus didn't write any part of the Bible (technically). The parts about him were written by 3 eye witnesses (matthew, mark, and john) and one account was written by luke who went about it like a detective, making sure that everything had at least 2 witnesses before writing it (Jewish law for witnesses). So it couldn't be. Feel free to PM me if you have any more questions.
Dang it Brandon, sometimes you are not very helpful...
OK, so having a hard time imagining scenes is normal, but it really isn't, you do it all the time, it is controlling the scenes that you don't normally think about.
Go through your favorite movie you have seen a million times. Go to the best part of it and think about what it looks like. You don't have to have it happening like a dream in front of you, just have it as your minds eye. Now you need to think of something you haven't seen yet, your video game in first person, you do this the same way, with the same "thinking muscles" you just aren't remembering it, you are seeing it in a way that you can't really see it at all, but you know it is there.
being in a dark room helps, eyes closed helps, comfort helps, no noise helps. At first it seems weird, but it really is just daydreaming, I am making a tutorial for visualizing since I have found out that I pretty much do it different from all the old guides on here and the new ones only use it for WILD. I will PM it to you when I am done, might be a couple days. :P
***Moved to General Lucid***
so i should watch the ame like on youtube to remember the playthrough and then recreate the scenes, only in first person?
That would probably help. I would concentrate on getting lucid first though, unless you are just wanting to incubate the dream and not be lucid.
You can work getting lucid into the visualization though.
