FILD and sleep paralysis
Hey guys! I'm really knew to lucid dreaming, and i really havn't experienced anything other than sleep paralysis, which i am petrified of going through again.
So my question is, would FILD (finger induced lucid dreaming) be something good for a beginner to try out? I have heard you don't go through sleep paralysis with that method.

First of all..I'll assume instead of knew you meant new...So welcome To Lucid Dreaming! :D And now to your question.
Doing the FILD technique WILL get you into sleep paralysis BUT,you won't notice it because you are too focused on your fingers.I guess you could give it a try why not. But be sure you read the tutorial first: http://www.dreamviews.com/induction-...ream-fild.html
Good luck with it :D !

If by sleep paralysis you mean actually being paralyzed and unable to move while awake that is exceedingly rare. You should be able to move during WILD if you want to. There are a lot of misconceptions people have about "sleep paralysis." The body actually does get naturally paralyzed while we are asleep to protect us from acting out our dreams, but most people do not experience that while awake - it happens only once you are asleep, unless you have a sleep disorder - and WILD does not bring about the sleep paralysis any sooner than not trying to WILD. Now if you are talking about hypnagogic hallucinations (HH), which you get in the in-between stage between waking and sleeping: those do not have to be scary! They can be interesting and even pleasant. My hallucinations are usually some interesting images that I enjoy watching. If you are terrified of HH however, then you are likely to get scary ones, because expectations make them scary. Relax and do not worry, and the process will not be scary for you.
