      Exclamation Goodbye hypnagogic imagery!

For a couple of days I haven't seen any hypnagogic imagery of any sort, not when I went to bed, not after WBTB and not while napping (however, to be fair, I haven't had any nap since a month ago).

That is, I go to bed, I see a solid black background and I fall asleep, nothing else.

So, do you know why this is happening to me? It is really demoralizing...

      Thanks

Sometimes this is happening if you are too tired and go to bed.

Try going to bed earlier or try not get too tired during the day.

If that doesn't work then try to do something special for a few days cause it may be happening because you do the same stuff every day so there is nothing else for you to lucid dream about or "push" you to lucid dream

I can easily stay "awake" for 30 minutes or so till I fall asleep, I don't think I'm too tired. And my non-lucid dreams are quite varied and original, I don't think it's a problem of input

It could be that you have something else on your mind lately thats taking your attention away from the H.O. Personally, I never see hypnogogic imagery when falling asleep unless i do a WILD. Usually intense hypnogogia doesn't occur until you are actually asleep, so you just might not be paying attention to it. :p

You don't always get HH when WILding. Sometimes you get different sensations that you can use to enter LD.

But it sounds like you are not making it aware to the point when HH or other sensations happen. Do you use any mantra to keep your mind awake?

I'm trying to keep myself aware of the process of sleeping, so I keep myself conscious until I decide to sleep (usually after some time with a complete lack of hypnagogic imagery, I just get bored), it works, for keeping me awake, I don't know if for lucid dreaming too.

And about sensations, I notice a lack of sensation in (most of) my body and some limited motion, but no hypnagogic imagery
