I just had a hh where some army guy was telling me he was in the army for ten years and joined when he was 11 years old. These are the onset of dreams. I realize them , then wake up. How do I follow them directly into the dream. I always end up losing consciousness then dreaming later about something else. Would a journal on hh have the same effect for strengthening WILDS I wonder as dream journal does for recall?

I write cool HH into my dream journal. But just because I like them. I don't think they would do same as DJ does to dreaming recall. On the other hand, each time you think/write about LDing and about your experiences, more likely are they to happen next time and more likely are you to notice them.
Once you see evolved HH, images turned into dreams/movies, you can enter them just by wishing/seeing yourself inside the dreamscape. I pick a spot in the dream and say with intent "I am there". This transports me inside the dream and once I touch down, I can feel the environment shift into 3D and I perceive myself inside the dream instead of just being an outside observer.
