LD or OBE?? Hmmm

I was trying to induce an Out-of-Body Experiance. I am not sure if I did it or if it was a Lucid Dream. Mind you I have been trying OBE for a bit. A few days ago I had the Explosion Head Syndrome which also involved me trying to get out of my body but something was holding me down.
So today I do my usually thing of starting off meditating, trying to vision, yada yada. I will try to make this short.
I was seeing visions of people. All of a sudden I was trying to pull myself out of my body. I did. I was floating from room to room in my house. I called my 3 sisters over to show them. One arrived as if she was already there. I told her to go to the other room and I will show you. I went back to my physical body and took myself out again. Floated to the room she was in. Went back to physical and went up to her and told her she was eating. Another sister arrived. They each went in seperate rooms. This time I was going to move something to show my presents. I move a hat in one and a lighter in the other.
I then wanted to try and go outside. I was able to float through 1st door to hallway but had to open 2nd door to outside. I got to my yard when fell from floating to the snow.
3rd sister arrives. I did the whole moving object thing again as I am going in and out of my body at ease. They wanted me to try and go outside again. So Again entered my physical body to float. Again I got to my yard as far as the 1st time. I made it farther the 3rd time like 6 blocks from my house but again fell from floating and had to walk home.
I then wanted to awake/come to and did. It felt like a dream and felt real although I did not feel I was sleeping at all.
Any thoughts. Thanks.

From what I understand about OBEs is that they are synonymous for lucid dreams. I've never tried to induce an OBE though.

I to believe the 2 have a lot in common. I have read so much about the 2 and can't seem to get the same answers. Some say OBE some say LD. Hopefully someone that has done both can help with this.
I have induced dreams but this was something I have never encountered before.

Did your sisters confirm you moving the hat and floating and all that?

You see, it's very hard, if not impossible to move things in physical world when you are OBE. Same thing that makes it easy to float and go through solid objects in OBE or LD, makes it impossible to interact with those same solid objects when you are not in physical world.

Density of physical world is so much different that of our subtle bodies and astral planes. I do believe in OBEs, but what you had was, and this is just my opinion, a lucid dream.

When you think about having OBE and you envisioning yourself exiting your body by floating out, then it's possible to have this reflected in your lucid dream.

Either way, cool experience. :alien:

OBEs are not real. Why would someone apply a spiritual meaning for something that already has an objective explanation? If I dream of my being in my bedroom is it an 'OBE'?

I was thinking LD also. But it just seem to be different like the feelings and such. When I was pushing off walls and flying around it was such a great feeling.
With one sister I was able to move a hat on a second try. With another sister it took like 10 tries to move the lighter. With the 3rd sister I believe it was a can of mountain dew which spilled over.(I dont drink MD so not sure where I came up with that)
2 of my sisters where excited about the moving objects. The other sister stayed silent the entire time. Never looking at me at all.(strange)

I have never had an OBE (nor been interested in them) so I am completely foreign to this thread, lol.

Thats what I am thinking. If you had a LD and you where flying, how would you know it wasn't an OBE. I can't make out the difference or if there is such a thing as OBE. I have read about OBE fron Near Death Experiances and believe them to be true. As for inducing them I am on the fence with this one.

Yes, but you observed this reaction from your sisters while in this LD/OBE, right? After you woke up, did they tell you that the items moved in waking life? Please check out the Beyond dreaming forum for more info about OBEs, if interested.

In my LD/OBE I did ask them and they said yes that they seen the objects move.

So I wanted to ask my sister if she drank Mountain Dew without telling her anything about my dream..Here is how the text went..MY TEXT "Hey, here is a strange question for you. Do you drink Mountain Dew" HER TEXT RESPONCE "I use to a lot but I took it out of my diet in January..lol..Damn it I just spilled my milk, TTYL" <<<<< strange...lol.

The thing is, at least this is how I understand it. If you are OBE, you can't directly talk to your sisters. They are out of faze with you. You are in another dimention, without your physical body. They can't see you or communicate with you. If they see something, it would be something like a ghost, or an energy orb, or similar.

So the persons you asked if they saw the items move were DCs - dream characters. They were not real.

Now if your sisters have those items in their houses and they would say they saw them move in waking life, that would be different.

Don't take me wrong, it was a nice experience, and I do believe in OBEs, but I just don't think that this was it. Just my opinion though. Good luck.

So you believe that an OBE would be more realistic. For example I could do an OBE and actually watch what is going on in the present? By having my sisters come to my house in my dream is just that, it was a dream..Makes sense..

In OBE, you can visit many different planes. The one that's closest to our physical world is most realistic looking and you enter it when your subtle body has low vibrational frequency. You can see what's on tv at the time, or real happenings as they happen. But it's still just a energy copy of physical world. The further you go from this zone, the more different everything will be.

Where you end up is up to the vibrational frequency of you subtle body at the time of your exit. You will enter that plane, that matches the frequency of your subtle body. I'm kinda starting to think, that this is the difference between WILD and OBE. Different vibrational frequency, different place you will end up in.
