Not a Healthy Mix........Unless one is trying to account for the Unexplainable. Does anyone here feel "Enlightened" for having Religious Lucid Dreams or are they just delusional fantasies for those inclined.

There is indeed a large school of people who see all Dream Content as delusional, and when they belong to Organizations that advance Lucid Dreaming, such people usually advocate the complete eradication of all ordinary Dream Content in favor of a complete Control of Dreaming by the Dreamer, where all Dream Content then becomes the invention of the Dreamer. Then it is imagined that dreams can become like wonderfully real video games full of exhilerating flight and endless sex which does not have to go through the difficulties of being consensual. Hedonistic masterbaters.Quote:

On the other side, we have the Traditions of the World's Supernatural Magicians and Saints who again and again have claimed that their Powers, Intuitions, Wisdoms and Enlightenments had come to them, in significant part, through their dreams. Dreams are in fact a Higher Voice from a Higher and more All Seeing Mind. Indeed, even those who believe in and advocate a Total Control of Dreams as well as the annihilation of all Higher Mind Dream Content, in favor of their scheme for hedonistic masterbation, cannot deny that it is they who seem to have the delusional hopes, as this Website clearly shows -- that the Subconscious Mind does not allow for the deletion of its Dream Content... except in the case of children, and this is because the Higher Mind does not begrudge infants their fun and games. But when the age of maturity is reached, the Higher Dream Mind really does insist upon its lessons being learned.
Do you believe what you just said, Leo? If so, I'd say you were a mystic, which is not something I realized before.
Perhaps it's not right to devote dreams to mental masturbation, my intuition agrees it's not at all high on the list of things to do during our lifetime. Even though I'm guilty of trying....
The problem with many people is, they throw out the baby with the bathwater when it comes to religions. Some anti-religionists automatically by default think the immoral life is the only thing left to do. Religions were created with intent, not just control, no different than government...(ok, a lil different)
I've always considered dreams to be one of the highest source of information and experience, moreso than intellectual absorption by reading and conversations, but only because it's underestimated and underused. I tend to trust the dreamer more than the philosopher (unless they are both.)

so u say religion was created not as truth from god but as a way to guide humanity for "the better"? i can see that difinitely
I think it is, like with many things, whatever you make off it. If you feel that a dream gives you answers and helps you advance you along your life path does it matter whether or not they were religious messages or your own mind speaking to you. Either way, it was a source of wisdom for you.
It's like being in beautiful nature, the sun shining down upon you..you might feel spiritual for a moment and feel like 'god' is watching down upon you. You feel better. Truth be known, even if this wasn't true, you felt better anyway. It's whatever you make off it. Truth is overrated. ;)
i agree with your incredibly intelligent statement
