      Angry Frustration

I can lucid fine, but when I do, I feel let down.
My self awareness is extremely limited and I feel like my IQ dropped half of it's points.
My vision (well, all of my senses but vision mostly) is choppy and really awkward. Like I'm in a living photo slideshow.
Whenever, I do something, I never feel the sensation. For example, I got on an amusement park ride, and I felt nothing. My stomach didn't drop or anything. I felt like I was watching a 240p YouTube video of a kiddy roller coaster.
I know I'm sounding like I'm whining, but I just want to be honest so I can improve and get rid of these problems.
SO basically, how do I improve the overall quality of my lucid dreams?

I know this has been asked a lot of times, but I just need to be directed towards threads since I already tried looking and can't find exactly what I'm looking for.

      Thanks.

Im at work and cant really give the best reply atm, but in short, theres a couple things you can try.

      1. Try focusing more on awareness through the day. Really notice the details, the eay light reflects of objects, the grain patterns in wood, the speckles and imperfections in tile, etc.

      2. When you go to bed, have a mantra regarding the details of the dream you want enchanced.

      Hope that helps some!

Well, I can't point you to any specific threads about the same problem, but maybe I can help a little.
I've also experienced what you are getting in your lucids in the first few of mine. By a few I mean, every couple of nights I'd get an LD which would basically be like that, really unsatisfying and rather crappy in general. But as I LD'ed more and practiced the All Day Awareness technique and with practice I got clear lucids more frequently. You just have to remember that when you get lucid, with that half IQ that you still have, stop whatever you're doing and concentrate. Think about who you are, think about lucidity. Wake your consciousness up properly within the dream. I find that once you do that, the dream will automatically become vivid. Personally, I do a few simple arithmetic exercises when I get lucid and double check them to make sure that my subconscious isn't just throwing up random answers.
Once you've done all this, you're free to enjoy the dream with a heightened level of lucidity.
Hopefully you'll find my experience helpful and good luck with lucid dreaming!

Just a few multiplications usually, simple enough to work out quite quickly but complex enough to require a bit of logical thought. I usually go for something like 8 x 7 or something because I never learnt the times tables off by heart, so I need to calculate that in my head as opposed to just thinking of the answer in a fraction of a second like they teach kids in school. More difficult sums such as adding up big numbers, like 574 + 239 works too because it requires a heightened level of logical thinking

This happened on my first LD, my vision was TERRIBLE - rubbed my eyes, only got worse. I told a DC about it, and they switched a light switch on in the room. Suddenly, everything was crystal clear.

Apart from that, all day awareness seriously helps too.
