Lucid Dreaming Nightmare fears

Hello! I would say I am fairly new too LD. And completely new to this cool site. I was devoted completely for a few months then stopped for awhile and wanting to start practicing again.

I am scared of nightmares... duh, but actually welcome them because they help me realize that I'm dreaming.

Something I can't get over however, even how scary a monster is or a situation is... whenever I leave earth in a LD and realize the vastness of space I am overwhelmed to a point of frightfulness.

I cannot possibly fathom how big and awesome universe is :shock: (It is really really big) :panic: And just the void of blackness scares me, so I usually go back down to earth.


I was wondering if anyone else has a fear that even during LD you cannot control?

Nope, I am also (probably everyone is) afraid of nightmares, but in my opinition, nightmares aren't so frequent so I doubt you'll have them... Unless you had some very scary experience as a kid.
You should just not think of bad things and look forward to the LD-ing and the bad things mostly won't carry into your dreams and you will have very nice dreams :D

Don't worry about it too much and you should be good to go hh

Like Lucidit said, don't think about stuff that scares you, think about good things. Instead of thinking about how black space is, think about how many awesome and various planets to explore, and so on. :)
I had a bit of experiences with fear when i was starting out, but i quickly defeated it and since then all of my weird fears were gone, both in dream and in waking life. :P
