First ADA Day.
So I've been picking up the ball again lately when it comes to my reality checks and dream journal. About a year ago I had my first "awakening" Idk what other people call it. Anyway I had it and for some reason I stopped everything after that. Recently I've been writing them down and doing reality checks because I am dying to have lucids.(Seriously I quit smoking after 6 years because I heard it enhances your dreams) So I was watching or reading something and I heard something about ADA. I looked it up and wound up reading a thread by that King Yoshi dude on here. I did it yesterday as much as I could and was surprised by how much it made my head hum. It was nice. I went to sleep doing that suggestion stuff as usual and I have to say that ADA thing completely changed my dreams. Since I quit smoking about a week ago I've had two dreams I can remember save last night. I won't go into detail because there were hardly any and they were dull. In one I was watching TV with my girlfriend and in the other I was honestly checking the mail. I woke up before I even opened the letter I got:roll:. But after a day of ADA my dreams were AMAZING. And I expect to get my first lucid pretty soon. They were really long but in one Morgan Freeman was a voice of prophecy in my head showing me visions of fallen angels destroying a section of a city and I was chasing them around while junk was exploding and stuff. Then I could see the whole thing playing out in the reflection on the surface of my own eye. In the other I was having a magic battle with the Facebook guy from Now You See Me in the parking lot of an Ingles or something. I was making cars float and letting them drop while he couldn't do anything and there was a crowd cheering me on and stuff. This is longer than I expected but seriously thanks to King Yoshi. That changed the game for me.

I think it's awesome that you found something that worked. I like ADA because it completely changes your perception of things around you, you see more, hear more, I even notice more smells. It really just makes use of your senses, plus there's the benefit of the same thing happening in your dreams, and the increases in vividness and recall ability. Such a simple yet useful technique.

Great job with ADA, it can be pretty tough starting out. I recommend you also do AD(self)A too which would help with DILDs and WILDs a lot.

Could you tell me, essentially, what the difference is between the two?
-
What you would focus on during ADA
- Foot steps
- Pretty much all of your surroundings.
What you would focus on during ADSA
- Your self
- Your feelings
- What it's like to be aware, awake, and alive.
So if you focus more on ADSA then you'll be able to tell when something (how your body feels) is different and become lucid easier. Although it's best to combine the two.
