Was this an intro to a lucid dream or an astral projection? Also have a lot of questions about lucid

I have a lot of questions to ask so let's start. A couple of months ago I had a dream where I had sex with someone, but it seemed so real, I could feel it, and the moment I realized that I was in a dream I woke up. A couple of days later I was laying on my back while sleeping, I was breathing normally. I closed my eyes and focused on the darkness that you normally see when your eyes close. When I started seeing colors I tried focusing on them. I soon started feeling vibrations all over my body and in my head. I also felt slight pressure on my chest and I felt fear in myself (because I read that some people saw scary things). I didn't want to go on because I was afraid that scary things will happen so I woke up. Was this a start of a lucid dream or an astral projection? What would happen if I kept focusing like that?

I want to start Lucid Dreaming using the WILD method, but I am afraid because I heard some people heard screams, saw evil people/faces, saw people trying to kill them etc. I'm usually a person that gets scared very easily. If I were to watch a horror movie even when it's day outside and I'm watching it with someone, I would still be very scared and wouldn't be able to sleep for a couple of days.
What should I do to avoid seeing those scary things? I heard that you got to stay calm and know that they can't hurt you but I wouldn't be able to do that, I would panic..A LOT.

Also, I'm an anime fan so I'm wondering, is it possible to summon an anime character in your dream, and that he looks the way he usually does? And..if I were to talk to him, which language would it be on if I am usually speaking Croatian? I'm confused about this one xD

If anyone could answer all of those questions and help me out, I would be very, very thankful!

Listen! When attempting a WILD HH (or otherwise missaid for SP) are not your goal! All seasoned WILD'ers will tell you this! You shouldn't hear anything scary, or anything at all :D So read Sageous' WILD Tutorials or take part in his class. You will learn everything you need to know there.

That, my friend, was a LUCID dream. Congrats:alien:

It's normal to wake up from your first few LDs. Either from excitement, shock or just because. It will get better.

If you were close to REM (where we do most of our dreaming), you could have gotten LD, have you continued. It could have been both, LD or OBE. Many people here believe that they are the same. If you really wanna ask OBE/AP questions, best place would be in Beyond dreaming section. That's were people who believe in OBE/AP would be able to give you some answers.

About the fear-
It's normal to be scared of the unknown. But if you want to WILD, you have to believe what everybody says, that it's all safe. No matter what you see or hear. And most of the time, you may not see anything. Heck, you may never get anything scary. But if you are already scared, you just may make it happen yourself. Hallucinations are like dreams. If you think about nice things, it will be nice.

And if you get something scary, worst thing that will happen is that you will get scared and wake up. Next time you will know, that you can't get hurt and maybe you will be able to get over the fear. If not, you can always try DILDs. Btw, DILDs are recommended to start with anyway.

By not thinking about it. So you will panic, wake up, next time you will know better.

Yup, your dream characters speak croatian. And sometime other languages. Have fun.

Everything (or many things) within lucid dreams ends up relying on expectation. If you want to speak Croatian with him, he will do so! If you understand the language he speaks then you can speak in Croatian and he replies in his language! There are unlimited possibilities to lucid dreaming, so have fun and good luck!
