Abrubt Plot Changes
Have you ever been observing your dreams thinking you're following a solid plot when all of a sudden it changes ?
A recent dream of mine had me following a studious gentleman with me playing the role of his close and trusted servant assigned to carrying his suitcases. I was following him into a restaurant along with two others behind me who I will assume were his close friends and associates and all of sudden he takes a right turn away from the restaurant entrance and transforms into a completely different person. The scenery and the appearance of the surface I was traveling on changed as I made the right turn along with the character. The rest of the dream then took place at this different character's residence with me taking on the role of a guest but I can't be sure whether or not the plot changed again as the dream progressed.
Why does this happen ?
Oh and I wanted to post this thread into the General Dreaming Section but I mistakenly posted it into this section, if a mod could fix that for me I'd appreciate it ! :)

Hey there, Karuna!
I really know what you're talking about, I have that in almost all my dreams. :) Once I was running around in a university-building as myself, as the student I am, chased by the principal... And the next minute I was a Russian spy chased by my opponents, and fell into a fairy-tale book. xD
I'm not sure what causes these plot-twists, but I have them in almost every dream and I just wanted to let you know that I think it's a very normal happening. :)
Good luck with dreaming!

Thank you for your response Nihal !
Good luck to you too ! Interesting to know that I'm not the only one that observes these in dreams.

Most people normally experience it, things change all the time in dreams, I believe it's because you have no idea your in a dream (unless you were lucid) therefore you don't realise the plot has changed until after when your awake and your like 'WTF' it just all seems like it makes sense in dreams.

Hi, there is a similar thread in which we discussed why dreams are like that, which you may want to take a look at: http://www.dreamviews.com/general-dr...eams-like.html
