      New thoughts

I've left many messages talking about being a natural lucid dreamer, and how i wish I wasn't, and how I tried to stop. Well, I achieved it, and it sucks. I used to be "Superman" and now it takes all my concentration to achieve this. I've even become afraid of heights. Does that make sense? My real life has come apart, and with it my dream life.
What a long, strange trip it's been.

Aneas, the good news is that you have just proven to yourself the power of your own intensions: you wished to not have lucid dreams, and boom they stopped. So I would think/hope that you can now repeat this experiment in the other direction: expect your lucid dreams to return, and they shall.
You may say I'm a dreamer.
But I'm not the only one

I had no dreams last night. First time in forty one years.

The night before I fought and could do nothing. Woke up every ten minutes in panic because I felt I was being attacked and had no control.

It's odd. Now when I need release the most it is gone.

      hey,
it sounds hard, but I think the problem is that you seem to be stressing way too much. Stress, fears and panicking are the killers of lucid dreaming and your dream recall. I would suggest to just relax and take a break for maybe a day or two. Just try not to think about anything concerning dreaming (I know it's hard). Or you might try meditation. Basically you want to accept your thoughts and fears. Once you accept them they will vanish on their own. The fact that you worry too much makes your fears and worries grow which is the opposite of what you want to achieve. So my advice: 1) Calm down 2) Don't overstress the NEED to dream (of course you wanna tell yourself that you can do it and be confident aabout it, but don't overdo it. This can cause stress) 3) slowly restart your practices and see what works best for you, but always keep in mind: This is a fun thing to do. Tell yourself: 'I can do it, I want to do it, and I will do it.' It might also help to just write down what you want to achieve, why you want to achieve it and by when.
I hope this helped a little

All is well. Just been going with the flow. I really is an amazing learning process. I go into the dream mode it now as an observer, as a willing student. The transition has become so smooth. As I grow older I can be more of an active part of the evolution of it. More experience through experimenting with all the possibilities and enhancing the senses within the dreams. One constant memory, not sleep and wake up. Just flow in and out like a circle.

Something is causing great stress in your life. Why has your life come apart? Why are you suddenly fearful of heights? Why do you feel out of control?

I'm not asking for answers. But I hope you're asking yourself these questions, because we all have the answers to our own "why" questions like this.

      Peace, bro. It's all good.

So, that sounds like life is better now? I remember a time when you came here concerned that you could not stop lucid dreaming and wanted a break, and then a time when you were concerned because you could not lucid dream any more, I hope that if I understand your comment from today correctly you are lucid dreaming now, and it' ok?

Hey Aneas, glad to hear you are getting some control back. It will inevitably take a little time to get used to being able to not LD.

I just wish I could have a tiny bit of your ability to LD!

I'm also a natural lucid dreamer like you. And now I try to stop it. I know someone will give me reply it's will suck after this. But I need a rest, you know. You believe every night I must run away from the dark, fixing puzzle in a limit time, then fight something on the way and fixing puzzle again!!! No, it's not funny!!! Because of strong obssessions, a short break have LD too!!!

      4. Do not Necro-post.
Do not reply to threads that are not active anymore. If the thread starter asked a question a long time ago and he is not active and participating in that thread anymore, please do not reply.

If you have a question of your own related to that thread, start a new thread instead. That way you will attract users that are active and willing to help.
