Longer sleeping time
Hi,
I would like to ask if it will be better for me (for trying LD) if I'll sleep more on weekend.
Because I'm student right now. I'm going to sleep at 10 p.m. and I have to wake up at 6 a.m.
The thing is that in nearly every tutorial they say that I should have regular sleeping schedule.
So I would like to ask if it'll benefit me if I'll stay in bed longer on weekends. I know that if i sleep more, the REM cycles "pauses" are shorter, but it will be different from mine "five" days.
Thanks for answers my oneironaut friends :D

More sleep is always good! Sleeping more works a lot like WBTB in the way it increases your awareness in your dreams.. Also, when you sleep longer, you get to enjoy some really long and vivid dreams! Getting more sleep won't ever hurt, even if you're waking up at a different time than you're used to.

Thanks :), I just wanted to make myself sure that it wont "hurt" my LD learning process :D

I wouldn't recommend sleeping all day or anything because that can mess up your sleep schedule in general, but I've had some good success with oversleeping by an hour or two. When I don't have anything to to that day I try to sleep until I feel like I'm ready to get up, then go back to sleep for just a little while longer. I think the extra awareness that comes with being "ready to get up" helps you have more vivid dreams and more likely to have LD. Same thing with naps during the day.
