I think i met my spirit guide not sure....any advice

I had a LD where I asked for my spirit guide and a girl responded with yes I am your spirit guide. But Ive heard that you have to ask 3 times to make sure because sometimes others DC try and be your spirit guide so when I asked her the 2nd time she said yes but when I asked her the 3rd time she said uhuh and nodded which looked made suspicious and I dont like messing around with anything that should always be taken seriously so after she said uhuh I didnt think she was my spirit guide so I kinda just started messing around with her thinking she was just a DC like holding her hand and making her sit on my lap and then I woke up. I didnt feel guilty afterwards when I woke up I just dont know if I was flirting with my spirit guide or if I sent her the wrong message unintentionally.

That DC is whatever you want her to be. If you think of her as your spirit guide, she will most definitely be just that. I I don't believe in all that kind of stuff, so if I were you I wouldn't be worried about upsetting some sort of mystical creature.

This kind of hits home with me so here is my long winded and possibly confusing answer... I've never heard of the asking 3 times thing, I don't see how that would make a difference. I once thought I met my spirit guide in a few dreams (non lucid) but now I tend to think I was being a bit silly about the whole thing... My mind created this ideal mysterious being I guess, and I ran with it. Is it possible? Sure, why not. What is a spirit guide anyway? Maybe in a dream it's the purest form of your own subconscious, which is what I would personally be looking for in a lucid dream if I wanted help. But I think if you HAD met your spirit guide, you probably wouldn't have to ask. That was the one thing I took away from my experience with that at least. I still hesitate to say either way, but that was no ordinary DC.

The reason my experience affected me like it did was that there has never before or since been a DC like that in my dreams. Each time I saw the DC that I was calling my spirit guide, she always looked the same in every dream she appeared in (probably 4 different ones?) and not like anyone I knew in real life. Had these unreal piercing blue eyes, never even spoke, but her presence was always accompanied with intense, almost unbearable emotions, but positive ones. She would usually just smile like she was watching over me and wanted me to know it, and didn't ever hang around very long. Maybe there is something to it and I wasn't being silly. But without more to go on, I can't afford to assume.

Weird stuff. I don't know what to tell you other than go with your gut. A lot of people like to associate dreams with spirituality, but I don't think that is always wise... Especially in a lucid dream where you can basically experience whatever you wish to experience.

In my opinion, every dream character can act as a guide. They can all teach us something and make us better LDers and dreamers in general.
There are particular dream characters that may show up repeatedly, whom you make a connection with, and learn tons of stuff from. That is what I think of when I think of a dream guide.
The only way to really find out I would think is to have many experiences with the same dc over time and determine based on that.

When I was a kid, I learned how to lucid dreaming naturally because of nightmares. After becoming familiar with the dream world, a dream character came to me and started teaching me things. He didn't say "hi I am your dream guide". It was a relationship built over time and experience. He taught me things about LDing that I did not learn in waking life. At 7-9yrs old, I had never heard of lucid dreaming.

Just explore your dream characters. Talk to them, and explore the differences. Some dcs are zombies without a brain, and others seem smarter than you. So explore, interact, and you will find a dream guide eventually.
