      How intense are your daydreams?

      How intense are your daydreams?

Mine can sometimes be so intense that if I were to cry in one of the daydreams and feel an emotion, I might actually cry in real life and feel like I feel exactly like I feel in the daydream.

P.S: Didn't know where exactly to put this, not paranormal, not really about dreams, not really off-topic so sorry if I put it in the wrong place ^_^

Aren't daydreams totally controllable? Are you talking about the daydream in which you visualize stuff while staring out to space or actually taking a nap and such?

My daydreams are insane. They're so detailed that I could go back into them and tell you what time it was in my daydream.

Too bad my actual dreams aren't as detailed and vivid.

Depends on what I'm daydreaming about. They can be very intence if it's some kind of fantasy adventure or something. Other times they are just to keep me busy during math , not too intense.

Extremely intense, I'm a HUGE daydreamer. It's not so good when I'm at work and my boss is saying stuff that I should be listening to. I absolutley can't control it. It's kind of a problem. I let people at work think I have a really bad memory, but I don't care about my job enough or what anyone I work with is saying, so most of the time I'm just completely off in another world.

Wow, it sounds really bad when I read what I just wrote.

I haven't daydreamed since I finished off highschool, but nowadays when my mind wonders I feel like I am reliving it and sometimes end up talking to myself... but it doesn't last very long as I catch it right away....eh....ahem

I think we all do that. Start thinking about the horrible things that could happen to your loved ones and then before you know it, you're crying like it actually happened.

I think it's pretty normal. Kinda like a way of preparing ourselves for things. You have to delve into that stuff once in a while, life isn't all rainbows and sunshine. Better to practice mourning in private then be completely shocked when something does happen and you've never even entertained the possibility of it.

Wow, I never "daydream". I thought you meant naps during the day. Those dreams are pretty good usually. But I guess now that I think about it, I have never just stared out into space to daydream. I only do that if I am trying to remember something.... Never any emotion attached to it.

Sounds like I may be missing out on something here.

What exactly is a daydream? Like a nap, or just 'dozing off', still a bit in the phisical world?

Anyhow, sometimes if you just stare at stuff they start to move a bit. Like waving. Or light changes. It's just the nerves getting raped or something.

      Never rly daydreamed.

I've had emotions from daydreams before, and on ocasion I've imagined being punched then actually felt as if I'd been punched. I have a very vivid imagination too, although it can be hard to controll sometimes. Sometimes I have what seems almost like an actual dream and I lose control of it even though I'm definetly still awake.

So I'd say thats quite intense

A daydream is a "dreamlike fantasy" that you have while awake.

For example: If you're bored and you just imagine yourself somewhere else doing something else
(perhaps you're not even "you" in your daydream).

I can't believe you people don't know what daydreams are and you never do it. I'm in complete shock. I can't even fathom the idea. Is your life super jam packed that you don't have time for that or what? Like, don't you ever daydream about stuff like the future or someone you have the hots for? Or sometimes what ridiculous things you'd love to do in the most inappropiate places? I used to sit in church with my mom when I was younger and just be lost for that hour in another world, or I'd be thinking of something stupid to do like run up to the priest as he's in the middle of reading from the bible and plant a huge kiss on his face and then just run out the door. You MUST do stuff like that.

LMFAO, I know just what you mean, Kichu. I'm always daydreaming, and I get really into them sometimes. I'll just be sitting there, then I'll start moving as if I were in the daydream until I realize I look really odd dancing with myself. . .

Same here. Luckily I'm usually alone when I do daydream.

I'm not... ...Usually I'm in class. And my daydreams aren't normally random, they're continuations on past daydreams. Occasionally they'll be daydreams of me dodging bullets, or waltzing around in the middle of class, and that's when I start to get weird. I'll start to sort of dance around in my seat, and rock back and forth to music that only I can hear, or start miming dramatic sword fights with my pencil. Once I accidentally poked the kid in front of me with my pencil during math while I was imagining a particularly interesting duel. He was a little mad...

You people are confusing me, do you guys mean day dream as in spacing out into some "dream-like" state or do you mean "thinking of stuff"? cause I "think of stuff" a lot, but I dont space out in the middle of anything, (especially a conversation with someone, that'd be awkward). Most of the time, i'd think of random stuff in class and i'll admit its the craziest and stupidest things ever, but when i do space out, i dont think of anything. I have too much time to daydream cause lectures are boring...

I often mime out sword fights with pens, and start drumming on the desk and stuff.

Hmm. Well, when I daydream (imagine myself doing stuff), I don't usually actually act them out (but I may make some hand movements if I get too excited or mad in the daydream). I do sometimes accidentally daydream while I intend to do something else, though. However, I completely control the content--I have to make everything up that happens, and nothing surprises me in them, unless I pretend to be surprised. It might be interesting if I could find a way to make unexpected, unpredictable things happen in them.

I've acted out on rare occasions. Especially the drumming thing when I conjur up some music to accompany my daydreams.

And once in a great while, I've started humming the tunes. A couple of times I burst into actual singing, much to my family's amusement.

This got me wondering if people who sleep talk or walk are more likely to act out their daydreams too? I sleep talk often, and have sleep walked a few times (that I know of). Maybe has something to do with the outbursts during my daydreams too?
