Rubbing Hands question
During my most recent dream, something was happening (I don't remember what) but I started waking up, and for some reason, I thought if I rubbed my hands together I would stay in my dream (I didn't know it was a dream at the time, I just sort of had a feeling it might be), so I did, I rubbed my hands together, but still ended up waking up...
Does rubbing your hands only sustain Lucid Dreams, or can it work in Normal Dreams also?
Here lately, each night towards the end of the dream I usually figure out im dreaming but can never stabalize it quickly enough and I end up waking up, so I figure if I can sustain my normal dream around the time I start to become Lucid, then it should stay like that after I become lucid long enough for me to try and really stabalize it.Would that work, or is it just hopeful thinking on my part?

in my experience i have rubbed by dream hands and the dream has contuinued, if these were lucid dreams or regular dreams i am not totally sure, but it has worked, and the dream has contiuned for a little while. Iv only had 1 lucid dream and one questionabily lucid dream but i have rubbed my heads in more then just those two dreams.

If I got your question right, you want to know if rubbing your hands together will keep you in a normal dream?
Well, I would say no. Unless it's lucid, rubbing your hands in a dream would do about the same thing as rubbing your hands in real life. Because to your dreaming mind, rubbing your hands together isn't supposed to do anything but feel like rubbing your hands together.
*shrugs* I suppose if you used dream incubation to make condition yourself to rub your hands together it might help trigger lucidity. Not a bad question though. The short answer? In my opinion, in a normal (non-lucid) Dream, rubbing you hands together wouldn't do anything. But like I said, good question, and good luck with your Lucid dreaming!
Cheers mate
