      Wild + deild?

So yesterday i attempted WILD and it ended in SP, i was cool with it though and tried to imagine a dreamscene, it didn't work instead the vibrations and noises became even more intense and eventually i woke up. I didn't open my eyes though and immedeately began an attempt of DEILD, with the thought that it'd send me in a regular lucid dream, but it didn't i visualised a beach and even a snowy place that i've been to in a previous dream and i got nothing. Instead i was thrown back into Sleep Paralisis with the same hallucinations as before (there was even some alien in the corner of the room, i'm not scared of SP though)So what i'm wondering is, does DEILD just send you back into the dream you were dreaming before that or is it possible to go elsewhere?

      Hi Leo,

first of all, that was not SP. Noise and vibrations could be just normal falling asleep sensations. http://www.dreamviews.com/wake-initi...mystified.html

When you see your room, you are most likely already in a dream. To realize that, all you need to do is to stand up from your bed. When you do that, you will realize you are in a dream, lucid.

If you don't do that, you may get some sensations again. You may get them also if you trully woke up after first round of sensations. But every time the sensations or HH stop, you should do a motionless RC, like thinking to yourself to levitate. Or wishing to see your hands in front of you. When you give yourself a mental command to move and you do, that will be your dream body moving.

When you say you attempted a DEILD, that was actually another WILD attempt. For it to be a DEILD, you need to wake up from a dream, move as little as possible, or not at all, and not wake up too much.

Visualizing a dreamscape sometimes works and it gives you what you are visualizing. But the main purpose of visualizing is to starting up a dreaming process. So if you end up in any lucid dream, it's a success. If you don't like the dreamscape you get, you may always attempt to change it. But if you just go with the flow, you may get a dreamscape, that will surprise you and it may be more cool than what you could imagine.

Some times WILD does not take you into a dream. Sometimes you end up aware AND asleep, but not in a dream. In that state you can feel any variation of HH and HI. In a sense you are in fact dreaming, just as Gab says about when you see your room. Some sleep state just are too light to work well for serious dreaming, so you need to relax and try not to think too much. You want to stay on the bare edge of conscious. Being highly conscious can prevent the progression of sleep cycles. I wait until not only are the feelings or images intense, but primarily until I have little awareness of my body. At that point you can try bringing up any dreamscape through visualization.

I agree about motionless RCs. I think they are needed before attempting to move. I often just attempt to look at things in the room with out moving. If I can go from looking at the night stand to looking at my feet, yet have not moved, then I will try to float up out of bed. I say float, because attempting to move like normal runs the risk of actually moving.

Thank you sivason for poining out the option of being asleep and aware, yet not in a dream. I forgot about this option, because simply, I don't recall experiencing it. I may have went through it, but didn't consider it to be an option from lack of knowledge and experience in that area. Hopefully after reading your post I will remember it when in that state. Which is how things work for me anyway. I tend to realize and recognize things after reading about them a few times here on DV. So thank you.

Exactly what i did, entered SP no less than 15 seconds after i 'woke up'.
Well, the HH didn't stop and i did open my eyes the first time and i knew i was dreaming, because i couldn't move and i saw an alien coming closer to me...
