Thread: 2014 Lucid Goals

I kinda gave up LDing at some point in the middle of 2013, I could not have regretted it more! So for now my goal will be to get at least one lucid within January, and start building up from there. Also, well done on your 325 lucids; that's something I can only dream of

Same as you, brandon. I also wan't to have a dream Alter Ego and I wan't to meet my Dream Guide.

how do you have so many LDs

Well I dont really want an alter ego, I want to have someone to go on adventures with! Because adventures is why I decided to LD in the first place!

Hmmm, I think that I'll go for the 365 LDs, but I'm going to actually keep track.. I feel like I might have had maybe that many last year, but I didn't really count, I'm pretty sure that I, at least, had over two hundred. Anyways, I'm also working on a recurring dream character to go on adventures with and hopefully be able to use CILD with them because, the only way I'm able to LD right now is WILDs, and WBTBs and sometimes I don't feel like putting in the effort, yea I'm kind of lazy, but you know we'll see how this year goes. I would like to greatly improve all aspects of my dream stabilization and control. 300+ LDs would be nice too.

I'll order what they did, plz(PM).
Sorry for the trouble, but I can't turn down a gold mine!

Edit: I would like to reach 1 dream a week, and be able to go on an adventure, only ten minutes of adventure would be great, maybe 5 of these adventures. And master teleportation using the door, and the portal techniques!!

+ START AND MAINTAIN A REGULAR SLEEP SCHEDULE!!!!!!!
+ stick with ADA/RC, take it to its max and be lucid all night, every night. I want to be Hukif, Jr. by the end of 2014.
+ frequency/consistency: average 1/day by mid-year, 2-3/day by end of 2014.
+ stability and length: make all lucids longer and stable, and additionally experience dreams of 10, 15, 20, 30+ minutes.
+ number: at least 100 total LDs by my 1-year anniversary (end of August).
+ techs: master DEILD, and LD-chain the night away...
+ successfully perform classical WILD, make it a part of my regular practice.
+ give the upper division competition participants a serious run for their money

Haha! I love the goals! Mostly fryingman though. shoot higher than everyone else! Even though some of your goals dont match up. I expect you to be at atleast 200 by the end of your first year, since you are planning on catching on faster than me!

I have decided to make a thread for that, what I have learned so far about LDing. It will take me a week or so to put it together so that I can make a good thread with everything that I have learned. Some of it will be speculation and make you think, and some of it you have heard a thousand times!

Also, another goal I want is:
LD 90 days in a row.

I would recommend bookmarking this or putting these goals out somewhere so that you can remember to achieve them.

300 LDs this year? That seems a little low for you, I guess if you are working more on control and stabilization you won't need as many then though.

Well I toned down the 1-year totals from 150...but yeah I'll need to hit multiple/night consistently or get to 1/night pretty much in 2 months to get to 200 in 8 months. Woohoo yeah let's do it!

Schweeeeeeet! Can't wait for that. I think it would be a fabulous service if all the consistently successful more experienced practitioners put together a thorough "My LD Practice" thread. More than anything else, this helps the newbies understand how to bring together all the various tutorials into a practice that produces results. Examples of how you took what you read about and how you adapted it to work for you would be priceless!

Added TOTY to my goals. Had to wait and make sure that they were something I would enjoy doing.

I think that I am going to put my "exhaustive research" on a thread. This will include all the steps I took and all. Should be really fun to type up. It would be cool if it caught on and everyone started posting that. It would make my search for the singularity a lot easier.

Also, you don't need to hit 1/night to get there, you will just have to get more than one a night later on. DEILD chaining will really jump up LD count if you let it, as you have seen through some of our convos.

I am not waiting for this thread to be over to make another one. I am trying to put up a whole history of things that I do and things that will help others LD. I will send your impatient self a small very abridged version in a PM tomorrow or the day after so that you can get a general idea.

Thank you BB for taking the time to do this, it will be a priceless document for the LD community!

My LD goals for 2014

1. Go on a date with that hot chick that plays the new Carrie
2. Go on a full blown skateboarding session around the city without loosing lucidity
3. Save the world from the government that now controls 99% of the world
4. Jump from space to earth and land on Mt. Everest with a snowboard
5. Shapeshift into a girl
6. Shapeshift into a dragon and save the world from aliens
7. Survive a zombie apocalypse
8. Try to create a reapearing dream character that aids me in all of my lucid dream adventures
9. Learn to control the dreamscape
10. Learn Fire,Earth,Wind and Water magick

That's all i can think of now, but i'll think of more when i get atleast 3 of those done!

8 and 10 are also awesome. I am working hard on 8, and 10 has come pretty naturally. I would recommend using an anime style to start out with it.

People in real life tend to think i'm kind of a pedo too, but that's before they realise that i'm way younger than i look

I've used fire magick before and it was a breeze, but i think Earth and Wind would be a bit harder for some reason, but thats okay. I'd like for it to be hard, it woudln't be fun if it were easy now would it

Hard to tell how old you look by your avatar. I think that the term pedo is really used too much, and we need to start only using it for people that are actually after kids way younger than them. Especially looking 100 years back, we would say that they were all pedos.

Fire came really easy for me as well. Wind is really fun! You can really do it easy with handsigns from Naruto. I did lightning that way (Chidori).

It is pretty fun easy or no, but it is fun to work hard for something.
