Question Is this the true power of MILD?

Guys i noticed that sometimes when i am sleeping,
a dream ends but for a few seconds i wake up and is like
my mind is saying "I want to see how this dream ends..." or "I want this dream to continue..."
And it always work, i mean, i can always continue the dream or see it's end.
I found out this was kinda similar to MILD. If MILD can achieve such success
why I can't return to a dream i want, when i'm just lying on the bed thinking
      about it and inducing MILD?

I believe this is actually DEILD - where you are shot out of the dream, but go back into it shortly after.

MILD is when you use a mantra to reinforce a certain idea, which leads to a DILD. DEILD is when you are ejected from a dream, but work your way back into it by either picturing it or, as you've said, repeating a though in your head. Do you feel like you're in a dark space once the dream ends - as in, you can still move and feel your dream body, but everything is black? I've had this feeling everytime I fade out of a dream - a DEILD easily lets me slip right back in, almost seamlessly.

Nope i dont go to a black space or something. But i open my eyes for a few seconds i close them again and the dream continues where it was. This sometimes happens to me naturally.

Hmm, I'd still consider it a DEILD, of sorts - you're waking up, but immediately jumping back into the dream.

I do that too, especially when I'm in a really interesting dream and it's not exactly the same as a DEILD because I can even get up a take a piss and then come back and jump into the dream again. Whereas with DEILD it's much more immediate. I wouldn't call it MILD either because there is no mnemonic involved. When I do that I think it's closer to WILD. I don't know why it doesn't seem to work as well when just laying in bed thinking about the dream, but it certainly doesn't for me either. For me, I'm only able to return to a dream I want straight from being awake, laying in bed and thinking, when I do WILD (the style where I go to sleep by creating the dream rather than passively staying conscious as the body goes to sleep).
