Just some questions.
Hi everyone. I start off I actually don't know if I'm in the right place. But anyway just have some questions about dreaming and lucid dreaming. From a young age I dreamt a little but for a long period of my life I didn't dream at all. But now that I'm older I've start to dream a lot more. My dreams are vivid but I feel that they aren't lucid. I feel as I can make decisions in my dreams like what to say or what to touch ect. But the dream itself just happens without me choosing it to happen if that make sense. Also when I have one of these lucid dreams I wake up feeling really drained physically and emotionally. If anyone has any insight I would appreciate it. Thanks.

Hello. We do actually dream all the time. Remembering them is the question. I'd recommend you look at dream recall. Anyways, your normal dreams are, quite frankly, normal. Being drained from lucids is an interesting one, as most seem to find them unbelievably uplifting. Without more information (such as, when you go to bed), I can't offer any advice beyond remaining optimistic and to keep trying. It may be tangentially related to dream control, though.

You should really work on your dream recall. You can keep a dream journal and write down your dreams. After you wake up, try remember most of your dream even if it's just a few details. If you can't remember, maybe it'll pop in your head during the day.
