When you relax allow your thoughts to passive however if a negative image appears before you then face it head on fear can be relinquished by facing it as it helps build yourself to be ready you need experiences...to have experiences you need fear.

HH really isn't as scary as it sounds. Alarming perhaps, but it can never actually harm you, in any way.
There's really nothing to be afraid of, especially since you go through similar sensations anyway, albeit not actually aware of them. If all else fails, there is always DILD.

I want to try it toooo I'm scared though, because if there's sound. I'll be really scared because I have a fan and some posters, and sometimes it hits it and makes a noise and I get scared lol.

Obviously forcing yourself into fear could be a bad shout but prepare yourself...besides you you learn to lucid dream there is a chance you could have sleep paralysis waking up from even a DILD with out fear there would be no progression

Here's my little tip just from personal experience: not thinking about them or focusing on them helps. Sometimes you may not hallucinate altogether if you keep your mind occupied (not so much to the point of keeping yourself awake of course). In my DEILDs and WILDs I always think about my lucid dreaming goals and gradually try to imagine the scene I want to be in, which is a good thing to think about. I know it can be a little hard, given someone says don't think about penguins and you think about penguins, but really, just keep your mind occupied with something else and you should be good to go.

Hallucinations are influenced by expectations, much like in a dream (essentially you're dreaming awake). So, don't expect anything, and you won't get anything.

yeah HH aren't really scary, and they are not necessary for WILD. Do what Maxis said. I like counting, or using mantras, or doing MILD visualizations(so if the WILD fails you can just scooch aside and fall asleep done a MILD), but not too much or you'll stay awake. If it is really hard to fall asleep while focusing, then try using a fan to listen to while WILDing, or if you fall asleep while doing a WILD, then visualizing would be great to keep you awake through the WILD.

I fill my heart with fire, with passion, passion for what makes me nostalgic. A unique perspective fuels my fire, makes me discover new passions, more nostalgia. I love it.
