      meditation

hey, well I have had this happen 3 times, I fall asleep, have a dream that is not lucid, but very vivid, and I have begun to get into a habit of waking up after about 1-1.5 hours after falling asleep, but befoer I wakup, I get into this weird meditative state where I know I am awake, but not fully awake, as I cannot open my eyes or move my body, however I can see hypnotic images VERY clearly and manipulate them to a degree, eventually I get sick of being trapped in this state, between dreaming and consciousness, so I force myself to wakup, just wondering if anyone else has experienced this? or something similair

I have posted previously about Lucid dreams preventing me from sleeping, this is very similair, I often cannot sleep for about one hour after forcing myself to wakup from this semi conscious state

Sounds like it could be a sort of sleep paralysis thing, but i'm not sure...also, it could be something to do with WILD.
You know, you could utilise this state to have a lucid dream...use the hypnagogic imagery to make a dreamscape.

I think i remember someone talking something about this. I think it was either Ev or Howetzer. They said they were able to stay on the border of conciousness and their dream and were in some black void. he said that he used this to enter dreams repeatedly. Sounds neat though. Perhaps you can do the same thing?

i understand what you're talking about. this has happened to me. you reach a point where you know you can wake up at will at any time, but you are undoubtedly still asleep. it's a strange feeling. for some reason, whenever i'm in this state i try to wake myself up, even though i'm sure it's great for becoming lucid.

i thought about trying to construct a dreamscape, I will try again next time, only reason I made myself wakup last time was I was trying to create a dreamscape but for some reason this 3 faceted spinning skull sppeared and jsut sat there in front of me spinning round and round so sort of freaked me out
