      Been awake 23 hours (:

So I am trying to correct my sleeping disorder, for the hundredth time. I woke up at 3pm yesterday, Its 2pm now. I will go to bed at 11pm and hopefully it will build up a beautiful amount of REM rebound for me to indulge in.

Planning an animation, every now and again I will kind of "phase out" so to speak :p and get a bit blank. Another weird thing I noticed is if I stare at the ceiling or floor for a few seconds it goes all wavy and wobbly, for a moment I thought I could be dreaming .

Man, I know exactly what you are going through. lol I actually had the same scenario just yesterday. After 28 hours I finally went to bed and actually had 4 dreams and 2 dream fragments I could remember from that night. (No lucid though)

Don't forget: The cold, movement and light is good for staying awake. Also keep your brain busy. Good luck, mate.

Ha this is why I love this forum people get me. haha! (odd occurrence) I should be alright now I am over the 24 hour hump. Once I did 42 hours this had horrible effects on me though. I constantly saw things in my peripheral vision constantly. It was almost as if I was going through a WILD transition awake.

I am the same, I seem to have major problems getting to bed before like 2 AM or something, and even if I am ready to go to bed much earlier I always find myself "waiting" while doing stuff on the computer or something.
But sometimes I remember how wonderful it feels when you actually lie in bed ready to sleep reasonably early, and can relax a while.

It's also a wonderfrul feeling when you set the alarm on your cell-phone and it says "Alarm set for 10+ hours from now", yay tons of sleeping time!

I used to struggle before 3 am when I was younger now its 6-7 am and I wake at like 2 - 3 pm sometimes later. I went to a sleep clinic and was diagnosed with with Delayed Sleep Phase Syndrome. I think this is why I find WILD more productive than other methods because I can hold on to my awareness longer because it takes me 20 - 40 minutes to fall asleep even if I am exhausted.

I was just thinking about that when you mentioned it. I have that too. Just found out about that term last month but I have DSPS since I can remember.
Sometimes I'm jealous of my mother who can lay down and literally fall asleep in seconds.
I still remember the nights back when I was a kid and was supposed to go to sleep at sometime between 6 and 8 pm and were just laying there, thinking about everything for hours, because I wasn't able to sleep at all.

Good Luck! Happy your trying to naturally beat your sleeping troubles, rather than resorting to Xanax and all that good stuff to beat DSPS. Happy Dreaming!
