So last night I had a dream, and in that dream I realized I was dreaming. But as soon as I realized this I could feel myself slipping away. So I said out loud "increase vividity" and it got clearer, but It felt as if I said it with my real body instead of my dream body, then I started to try to walk, but I could feel my legs moving but I wouldn't move anywhere in my dream so it was like my legs were moving on my body instead of my dream body.
Anyone ever experience anything like this?
Yes indeed. You start feeling both bodies at once. Normally when this happens i just imagine my body moving instead of moving it.
This is similar to a hypnic jerk, but kind of the next stage up. A hypnic jerk is when you are falling asleep and you are walking or something in your imagination and your leg or arm or something jerks, normally waking you from a nrem dream.
It was really weird nothing like that has ever happened to me, I have experienced many hypnic jerks in my life. I've also experienced sleep talking where I know I talked out loud in real life but never anything like this. I woke up soon afterwards and was like what the hell? I think what happened was I started thinking about my sleeping body... Which btw I would have probably never done if I hadn't read a tutorial on this site telling me not to think of my body lol gotta love irony.
