I've thought of doing this before but I forgot all about it until I saw your thread *adds to goal list*
I think it'd be pretty interesting to see what their responses are, this should be a TOTM if it hasn't already been.
I burned my plant once for talking to me.
That's a story for another time though, maybe to copy into my DJ.
As far as animals, I have had used sign language to sign to my cat. It was funny watching him try to sign back, cause you know, no thumbs or balance. I was completely deaf in that dream.
