      Not enough awareness

I've had some lucids since I joined this wonderful forum I met by a Google search and I could say that the first one I had was the one in which I had more awareness of it as a dream. You know when you wake up from a lucid and the feeling that remains in you is just like 'Woah, I can't believe it was not real'. When you have low awareness you don't have that feeling after but just a doubt if you were just dreaming about being lucid.

How can you increase the awareness within a dream?

      Thank you!

One way to increase awareness in dreams is in general to work on increasing your awareness during waking time. Become an observer of yourself and what goes on inside and around you. Routinely observe changes in your circumstances, anything that is unusual, different senses, observe your own thoughts and emotions, your interactions withe external world (your effect on it and it's effect on you), causes and effects, be more present in the current moment, avoid doing things on autopilot and when your thoughts stray from being aware bring them back into focus. If you increase your awareness during waking life, it is likely to increase also in dreams.

I actually do that pretty much all the time. I try not to be an autopilot 'cause I also hate that feeling of not being the owner of your own body but my awareness only seems to be increased in one among 10 lucids. And as I've said the first one I had was the one with highest awareness level and I didn't even know about daily awaraness, so... I don't know.

Anyway, thank you for the answer. If anyone has any other suggestion, it would be great .

I actually feel this too, i try to be the most aware as possible, then when we dream, it just feels a normal dream
like 3 years ago without knowing LDs. I never experienced a "Real-life LD" my objective is to aim that, i also don't know what to do.
I think we just have to keep going and make this awareness as our "habit" and live with it

WOW! I don't what to start with, I'm so excited. I went to sleep expecting nothing to happen and had three lucids. The third one was... I can't even describe it. My awareness was like 96%, so just imagine. We are amazing, so small yet able to create new realities. Love y'all.

PD: Oh yeah, by the way, I took an energy drink just before going to sleep. Could this be related?
