I`m scared, what happened?

Hello, dear friends.

Before 7 years I took hallucinogenic muchrooms with a friend. The experience was very bad, and in the end I felt like i`m dying, or already dead. Please don`t tell me anything about death, because it will scare me more. I almost got insane. Since then I am on pills to prevent schizophrenia. I have suffered a lot, but now my only problem is that I feel my body very lightweighted like i`m out of it. What can you tell me, how can I get back in it. Every night i`m dreaming things just like my brain is trying to heal itself, mostly the experiance and the thought of losing my life. Years passed very fast since then, I think this is just because of too much stress.

Have you tried meditating? Meditating is generally pretty good psychologically, and you seem to be somewhat psychologically scarred from your experience. I hope you feel better, and did you have schizophrenia before you took mushrooms? If you don't already have schizophrenia before you take them mushrooms won't cause you to have it.

The smartest approach would be to consult a doctor since this sounds like a medical problem.

Well I didn`t have shizophrenia before the mushrooms, neither after that. I took the pills just in case, so I don`t have this desease in the future.

Antipsychotics are nothing to mess around with. If you're not the schizophrenia spectrum, I'd recommend you get off the meds (unless a doctor agreed to it, w/e). Antipsychotics are nothing to take nilly-willy though, and I think you should be very careful in taking them.

Furthermore, being "out of it" is a common psychological state, called dissociation. It can really vary between simple daydreaming to inability to recognize reality/themselves. It is also a normal and healthy reaction to trauma. If you have suffered an extremely traumatizing event like the one you claim to have, it makes sense that if you're still reacting to it emotionally, you'll still be going through the expected reaction to trauma such as dissociation. Have you talked with a doctor about this? There are certain methods (Typically used with treatment of Post-traumatic stress disorder) that I think may be able to help.
