A 3 Pronged Approach to LDing...

A long lost hello everyone... I recently put a plan together to obtain lucid dreaming and would like your critiques...

First I've been using the Lucid Dream Ultimate app, it's by DryIceDroid on the android market. For a couple weeks now I've been using the reality check option every half to full hour. It makes a sound, vibrates, and prompts me to do various realty checks. On top of that I've been using the MILD method as well, especially leading up to bed and falling asleep.

Finally I went out and bought GalantaMind ***link removed by staff*** and took my first pill this morning after setting my alarm for a WILD... It made my dreams more vivid but didn't go further than that, as I didn't sleep well after using it anyway.

Now as there is a lot of information about GM out there I'm wondering what is accurate. I've read it works best after sleeping 4 to 5 hours and then taking one or two pills... But do I take them and go right to sleep, or stay up for an hour and then try to sleep?

Hi Deltadreamer, you may have already come across this, but I suggest you get a copy of Yuschak's "the power of supplements" if you're going to experiment with Galantamind. He talks of long, vivid LDs right from the off, but I have found it much more difficult. I have had a few LDs and one longer one using his primary trigger regime, but I haven't had the instant success he claims. Even so, it's well worth reading.
Although supplements make it much more likely to LD, the basic techniques are still required to get lucid and stabilise, so "natural" techniques are still needed I think.

Hey Goldenspark, thanks for the response... But yes, I did just recently come across Yuschak's PDF chock full of information that I was barely aware of! But yes, I think I'll be more like you in that I'll have to work with the more conventional methods as well as using the supplements for LDing.

However let me tell you, just from taking it Saturday morning, just one pill, my dreams have been far more vivid and I'm also remembering them FAR easier than before! I'm just surprised how potent the stuff is, but will make sure I don't abuse it.

Anyway, I'm still curious about the timing and everything... Should I try to take 5mg's of melatonin at the beginning of the night to suppress dreaming during the first part, then wake up about 5 hours later to take the GM pill? And if so, do I need to stay up for a full hour afterwards? (Thanks again!)
