      Red face Making Obsessions Into Reality Checks

      So,
      I have alot of obsession thoughts and things i have to do, like for example tapping something with my finger and weird stuff like that. All my obsession thoughts i remember very easily and they become a habit really quickly. So what im going to do now is make a reality check into a obsession thought or making obsession thoughts into reality checks. Everytime i see numbers im gonna look away and look at them again to see if they have changed since they have a 95% chance of changing in a dream. I am also gonna make other ''normal'' reality checks into obsession thoughts so i can get the maximum chance of lucid dreaming.
      I have two questions though,
      Will this work, and how effective will it be?

      Dreamers are very familiar with the power of expectation. Expectation creates reality within the dream. The more clarity and faith you put into an expectation, the quicker and easier its manifestation. As for will this work? It will absolutely work if you expect it to. It's all up to you! Let us know how it goes! It sounds like it could be a great technique!

      I use things like this to RC. Of course I am always thinking about LDing, so it is a little different. One thing that I heard was that it is easiest to replace bad habits with something else. So I took popping my knuckles and said "every time I want to pop them, I will RC." It was a pretty good raise of awareness. Try and be thinking about LDing as much as possible throughout the day. You want the idea of dreams in there. When you see a squirrel imagine flying over to it and kicking it. When you see a building imagine lifting it from the ground. All the while thinking about dreams. Fun stuff.

      Who said numbers have a 95% chance of changing in dreams? I keep them the same when lucid on purpose.

      Reality checks are to raise awareness, so watch out and make sure that you aren't just always looking at numbers twice for no reason. You are stopping and thinking through it, and having a meaningful RC.

      My LDing record, if you want to hear about it, is about 4 WILDs, 1 DEILD, and the rest DILDs.

      Well i had worse before but whenever im gonna start my computer i always read my monitors text in my head, like ''senseye 3, LED, benq, auto menu enter'' basically what it says on the monitor, no idea why it just feels better.
      I have other ones too, hard to explain though!

      About the 95% thing, a guy who made a LD tutorial said that Stephen Laberge mentioned this in one of his videos. (Don't know how his name is spelled)
