I was killed in my dream

yeah last night in my dream i was in this room with someone i work with. he never tried to hurt me before or anything, just a face on a deam character. anyway he was holding me ransom and didn't have any weapons out. I said im leaving. He pulled out 2 knifes. both like pocketknifes. I said im not afraid of you and he pushed me back into a chair and raised one to my throat. I said "i know your not going to" and he started to push in. not length wise like slitting it, but in. It felt like I felt it. I know i screamed in my dream, and i could "feel" the blood running down the inside of my throat. I tried to breathe and it was all shallow gasps. My head fell back and i was *dead*. Then someone came into the room and i left with them. sorry about the gorey dream details i remembered, but it felt so real i didn't even realize i was dreaming. anyone else have similar incidents?
      ps.
this was not a lucid dream

i had a dream like that a long time ago,i can remember something happend to me and then all of a sudden i was seeing it from another persons perspective, seeing how all my friends and family reacted and stuff.it was a sad dream i had,i felt everyones sadness and stuff in it.
maybe the ultimate dream is when we wake up after death to realise it was a dream.

I was face with someone who pulled a gun on me from the trunk of a car. There was someone with me. I dropped to the ground and played dead after we battled for a few minutes. I tried to signal the person with me to let him know I was only faking it. But he thought I was dead and I could tell he felt bad for me. It also was a non-lucid dream but if I were lucid I don’t think there would be anything to worry about.

Good! This a hugely pivotal Dream! The Dreamer died and then stayed with the Dream, without waking up, to the point where he came back to life and was able to walk out of the room 'dead'. This will change the Dreamers orientation to danger for ever.... as soon as the Dreamer adds 2 + 2 and comes up with 4, that is, as soon as the dreamer realizes that Death did not take. The Dreamer will sooner or later figure out that Fear has become obsolete. The Dreamer will almost inevitably become more Heroic for now on.

Now, right after I had my first Death Dream, I quickly had a succession of other Death Dreams, in which I was killed in any great multitude of ways, so there was soon no doubt about whether it had been a mere aberration of a dream. The repetitions seemed to underline that I would never again have anything to fear.

Congratulations! You have now reached an important level of Spiritual Maturity.

i dont see how dying in a dream has anything to do with spiritual maturity, but ok im open minded.

BTW that dying in dreams myth is dumb. if it were true, dont u think there would be a ton of reports on healthy kids and adults dying in their sleep? it just doesnt happen.

Until one dies and resurrects back to life in a dream, one is subject to fear in one's dreams. All Dream Courage and Nobility is predicated upon being Fearless, and this is what comes with having that pivotal dream where one is obviously and completely murdered, knows one has been killed, but stays in the dream long enough to come back to life.

Remember that series of 'McCloud' movies -- all the guys who had these swords who could not be killed.... unless their heads were cut off. Well, this is like that, except we don't even have to worry about getting our heads cut off.

I remember the first time I heard that "if you die in a dream you die in real life," and I laughed, because my childhood was full of dreams of me dying (a little morbid, eh?)

I can recall on when I was about 9-10 and I had just seen something on the news or had heard people talking about some Middle Eastern conflict. I had a dream later on that I was lying in the middle of the desert when two jeeps pulled up, stopped, and a man with a gun stood up and started blowing me to bits. Very odd.

I also remember a dream where I was sitting in the back of a car between two people. One of the people pulled out a gun and shot me in the head. Even odder.

And what takes the cake is a recurring dream of death I had all the time as a kid. Some kind of vehicle would be coming at me, I could see the lights but didn't get out of the way, and it would hit me, killing me. I had this dream quite a bit when I was younger.

So that has something to do with spiritual maturity? It's been a while since I can recall a dream where I died.

I don't think I've passed this maturity test yet, but I'm always being tested.

I've died from explosions, poisons, worms, ants, the heat of the dessert, kids at school. It's like some kind of psychological trauma. Don't think I've ever come back to life, I just keep reliving my death.

      Sober.

I think I have to agree with Leo this time. Suprised?

I've died a number of times in dreams and foundmyself in spirit form, however, I've never been so violently and cold heartedly murdered.

How do you feel today? Has something shifted for you? Perhaps do you fear death a little less than before the dream?

I've died in a dream too. Or at least I'm assuming that I did but as soon as I heard the gunshot I woke up. But what made the dream even more disturbing was that fact that I was the one killing me. I was hanging out with some buddies and after they all left for the night I climbed up onto a wall with my M16 and put the barel in my mouth and POW!! The strange part is that when I did all of this the feeling I had was as if it was a completely normal everyday thing to do. Very weird. Needless to say it ruined my entire day after waking up from that. That is the only time I can remember dying in a dream. And this was NOT a lucid dream by the way.

Well, I don't recall ever having died in a dream.

I wonder what it would be like (or what would happen) if one tried to
commit suicide in lucid dream . Someone should try that. Just shoot
yourself, or something, and see what happens.

i wonder if the mind would even let that happen.... like the gun may be empty or something.

lastnight i had this gold desert eagle pistol and unloaded on some mafia drug gangsters. it was glorious.
