I think I found a Dream Guide. He's creepy.
Okay, I just had this wierd dream. There usualy isn't much dialog in my dreams, but this one had more than usual.
I was at work, watching a movie on my computer, and working on writing some sort of java program for fantasy football for my boss. The movie was color, but definetly from the black and white era. The scene was a massive blue luxury airliner, with a lounge deck on top of the wing. I think it was supposed to be futuristic or something. There was a woman walking towards a wooden gate at the back of the wing; she seemed despondent as she staggered along. A man was following her, and another was holding the gate, so she couln't jump off. The wind was buffeting all of them. I had to walk away from the movie for a minute, and told my friend what I was watching. "Oh, yeah. I've seen that one." he said. "That movie sucks." I went back to watch some more. The whole plane, or rather a bad prop, was on the screen. I reached out a touched the wing. It was a soft rubber skin. The movie took over the dream, and I remained as an observer. Here's where the wierd guy comes in. He was in a white suit, with a patterned vest and a white, flat-brimmed hat. Thinking back, he almost reminded me of the "millionaire" from gilligan's island, only younger. He was on the wing of the plane, talking to a couple on a vacation.
"Actually, I'm a magician." he was saying.
"Oh, how delighful!" the woman exlaimed. "What sort of tricks can you do?"
"Tricks? Oh, I'v got all sorts of tricks." He replied. "I think my favorites are the illusionary ones, though. For example, I like to wave my hands and open up a doorway. Then I step through and I'm off to places unknown!" He was gesturing with his hands like he was telling a story to little children. "I float through the heavans, past the stars, and zip through sixteen dimensions of hyperspace! It's a remarkable ride!"
"Oh, that sounds like fun!" The woman was a bad actress. "I would so like to try that!"
"Well, I could do it for you, but I'm not sure where you'd come out."
"Oh, that's alright." she assured him, standing next to her husband as if preparing to go with him.
"Alright." The man said. He gestured, and a door of light opened up directly underneath the woman, and she was sucked in. Her husband just stood there. After a moment, the man in the white suit started licking his fingertips, like he had burned them. A moment later, a larger doorway opened off to the side, about six feet above the deck. The woman fell through and landed in a crumpled heap on the ground. The man continued to lick his fingertips, and she started to levitate. At that point, I had to go back to work, and I woke up shortly thereafter.
For some reason, I see this guy in the white suit as perhaps becoming my dream guide. It seems there's a lot he could teach me. What do you think?
