Text Messages in Dreams
The thing with dreaming, from what I heard at least, is that a reality check can also involve looking at a text and it should appear unusual after a couple looks at it. In 2 or 3 of my recorded dreams I have gotten text messages that I can READ and in one I recorded what the person actually said, but in the other I managed to remember a specific time in which I received the text message (this was a false awakening, so the time seemed around when I'd wake up). This is awfully weird because I thought the mind cannot associate with text in the dream mind.

It's different for everyone, really, only some people can't read text in a dream, so that RC only works for some people. I'm actually the same way you are: I can often read text in a dream very clearly, so jumbled text wouldn't work for me as an RC. It's just the same with turning on lights in a dream (works for some, not for others), or with trying to levitate (works for some, not for others). The thing about dreams is that there's not quite any rules or limits to it, and everybody dreams a little bit differently, so really, you need to find what works for you.
You say the dream mind cannot associate with text, but I personally believe that if something is coded deep enough into your subconscious, then it can appear in your dreams easily without any limits.

Man, just when I thought I was superhuman :O. Jk... Thanks for the heads up. I don't really know why I'd remember the time instead of the actual text in one dream but whatever.
