Natural Lucid Dreamer, ADHD, and New to this site!

First let me say hello to everyone. I was refered to this site from and ADHD board I take part in, and let me say, it feels good to be home.

I am 25 years old, live in Chicago, and I have ADHD, Dyslexia, and I have alwasy been able to Lucid dream for as long as I can remeber.

Recently I have started to experience more frequently sleep paralysis at teh start of falling asleep. I have started to reach a higher elvel of conciousness as I fall asleep and thus I have started to experience more and more now, a sense of falling asleep, yet fully awake.
I can feel my body physically shut down part by part, until the paralysis takes over, and the hum is felt. I used to be scared, but now I am not, and each time it has happened I have let it go further along before suddenly jerking awake.

I have always been able to control my dreams in a sense, and I remember the dream and the time when i first gained this abillity.

I was 6 years old, dreaming about the dark robed killer, this Grim Reaper figure that used to have me tied to an exam table, and experiment on me. I had this dream repeatedly over and over for a long time, until that day. I suddenly realized this was a dream, I smiled to the dark figure, stood up, and beat his butt to death. I awoke shortly after and never have had that dream again.

The other dream was of an alien invasion that started and I was in the barn on my families farm and I was trying to run as fast as I could to the house where it was safe. I had this dream so many times, I always knew I was running fast but not really moving much at all. I broke free of this dream when I stood up and made the invasion totally disapear forever.

From that point on I have been bale to induce my own dreams, create them at will, and control them to some degree, although not always fully control them.

I have also had very disturbing dreams that I used to fear, but now see as gifts. I will have fully conversations with people I know, play out events in my life and experience things in my life, only to find them actually happen in reality shortly after, sometimes that very day after.

I have finished my finacee's sentences and thoughts before she even has opened her mouth, and finish whole conversations she and her sister had that I was not part of in reality, but listened to in my dream.

I have played out daily events, only to find myself in them in reality, and have managed to avoid accidents, errors, and missed calls, due to knowing they were going to happen before they actually did.

Weird?
Maybe but very possible.

Very interesting stories, I have also had dreams when I talk to people, or do things and have them happen shortly in reality (like as you said, maybe even that very day), although these dreams are not lucid, which is strange (and as I said in a different post, I can only remember one lucid dream I had when I was ten, and im trying to learn how to do it).

wow I had a pregog. dream just a few days ago, anyone seen BigBrother4? it's a reality tv show. though I try to avoid reality tv shows as much as possible :lol: anyway my friends watch it and I of course never saw one episode, but as it was getting close to the end of the show I had a dream I was in the show, and I asked someone who they thought would win. she said "June" and I woke up and asked my friend if someone named June was still in the game. I was freaked out because she said yes, and today I found out that she WON THE GAME! hope I have alot more dreams like this it would be cool.

My first lucid dream was also at age six (32 years ago). I had a teacher that taught me in the first dream to control the dream body.

I sometimes forget Lucid dreaming and dream control are really two different things. Seems like now i refer lucid dreaming as my ability to control dreams but its not. I have to be more clear for you newbies. Being aware that you are in a dream state is the first thing. Now that I think about it my first lucid dream was like when I was 16. I actually started flying shortly after my first few lucid dreams. There are some books from Carlos castenada. I remeber one in perticular call a seperate reality it all about awareness and focusing the mind on things most people dont bother with. I look back and after reading these books i oped up all sorts of doors.

Please explain your theory of the difference between lucid dreaming and dream control Curios. However, I've been lucid for 32 years and don't consider myself a newbie. I have also read all of Carlos Castaneda's books. I read his first book when I was 12. He has a book called The Art of Dreaming that the LDers here may find interesting. If he interests you there are sites dedicated to discussing his practices.

I think the distinction between lucid dreaming and dream control that Curios is trying to make is just the difference between a fully lucid dream and some low-level lucidity.

I hope you enjoy that book, jill, it is a great book, though to truly understand any of Carlos' early books, you really have to read the whole series. Well, except Magical Passes, I think that's just a bunch of Cleargreen, stupid, commercial, evil crap.

Let me WARN you right now, before you all start to read this post.
My brain is so active, the ideas, thoughts, beliefs, images, everything comes out to fast for me to control the flow. I have an ADHD mind, my writing will be hard to read, even harder to follow at times, as I ramble, skip around from topic to topic, never fully reaching the original point as by the time I finish writing this sentence I have already have 30 other poitns, of importance come to mind. I jump around alot, I forget points of interest, ramble, repeat, and generally write as chaotic as my mind.

You will find all sorts of things in my post, some make sense, some are out there, all come from the mind and heart, and all are very interesting to me and I hope to some of you here!

I have come to the relization that subconsiously I feel that I am not normal, but I an different in some way from everyone else. I fell connected to the world around me, to life, to people, but I feel different then them all. I know I am human, that I am jsut like everyone else in a basic sense, but yet I feel that I am not the same, I am different, but for what purpose, or reason I do not know.

I have been going to therapy weekly for help in my ADHD problems. I was diagnosed offically at 25, I'm 26 now. In that therapy sessions we have reached a point where the therapist and I have started to uncover a subconsiousness that is directly opposite of who I am on the outside. As we have dug into things such as pasts, childhood, emotions, and all the standard hot topics to uncover things in the subconciousness, we have found one specifc non changed point

Anger

As we dug deeper with each session I started to realize my subconious self coming to the surface more and more. This subconious self was directly the exact opposite of everything I was in my life.

If I was a caring, loving person in life, my subconiousness was a nasty, uncaring, unforgiving, evil person with no remorse.

What we recently discovered together in our last session was what brings me here to your site today. I discovered a consious feeling/understanding withing my self, and my subconisous that was present in all of who I am, that I feel different, disconnected from the world, life, and people in some form or fashion.

My exact statment was this to her: "I just do not feel right, things around me feel wrong, different, something picking at the back of my soul, or consiousness that I am not like everyone else, something is strange, different, and as I age this feeling also grows, gets stronger, and I feel like I belong to something different something not of this world this life, I feel disconnected, and no matter what I know this is true, and I can't explain it, I jsut know it!"

I feel I more and more with each day that I am here for a reason. I do not know for what reason, or why, or how, but I am waiting for something.
I dream events of reality only to watch them unfold right before my eyes exactly as they were dreamed. I sense thoughts, intent, feelings, and emotions from people, I have never ever met in my life, and over long distances, only to discover they are connected to that person in some way.

All this talk of disconnectedness from my fellow humans, and I am about to make the follow statment: "I feel an overwelming union of energy between each and everyone one of us humna's, those alive and those long dead. Everyone connected in some way, by some means, and thus in an infinate universe every possible path, choice, all possibillities are experienced by each and every one of us in some way.
We are all connected in some way what one sould does effects each and everyone of us all in some way no matter how small the effects, we all experience the effects.

So why do I feel so different, disconnected, not part of this world, universe, my fellow humans? I feel this way becasue i have been denying myself the right to feel the connections, not because I am disconnected, I am very much connected, more so then I fully realize, or want to realize.

To connect on this level is to experience not only your emotions and energies, but to feel those of other humans connected at that level. To experience a subconious connection to another being is to experience a life time of knowledge, emotions, and energy. But we consiously bind ourselves to rules, laws, and logic from the time we are born, and thus prevent our own subconious selfs from connecting to one another in a way we all never imagined possible.

To transend to such a level of consciouness is possible and happens all the time, but it's something we all have been taught is not possible, but the truth is far from those teachings.

Our world is a world of day to day events, persoanl experiences good and bad, love and hate. We put rules, laws, restrictions, boundries, and walls in our world. We try to control, prevent, maintain, a sense of perfect peace with all. We grow, we breed, we spread, we consume, we argue, we fight, we love, we hate, and we live our lives, in each his/her own way.

But there is so much more to everything, many will never come to know.
If you look at all those people to changed the course of human kind, shocked the world, thought differently, sought answers to questiosn never before asked, if you look at them all, they all had simular feelings, conscious and subconscious understandings that things were not really as they seemed, and were not afraid to say "And why should they?".

We as human beings are unique in our minds, as we have seen no such other being like ourselves. We seek to understand the things that we do not, those things that we fear, we seek those of the unknown by nature.

Science sets out to explain these things buy applying rules and laws to them and we govern using these rules and laws. We are taught that if we hold a brick in our hands and let go of the brick it will fall to the floor becasue of gravity. We have all tried this and it falls to the floor.

A human baby will discover gravity as they attempt to repeatedly drop their toy over and over watching ti fall over and over to the floor. But you want to know something?

If you drop that brick an infinate number of times, at least once that brick will not fall to the floor, but will fall in the opposite direction, it will hover another time, and yet another time it will move to the left, then the right.

Without the rules, the laws, in an infinate universe, this will happen, and infact does happen. We has humans consciously except that it will fall down to the floor everytime and never change. But what happens when we remove the rules, the laws, the boundries, and we transend to a level of consciouness that is not held by these rules we humans creaated?
The brick doesn't fall down to the floor anymore.

Why is it so hard to let go of the rules, let go of the boundries, the laws WE HUMANS created for ourselves, and transend to a high consciouness were these things do not exsist? Is it because it is just not possible?

Because it is 100% possible. Our very exsistence demonstrates that anything is possible no matter how or why or what it is, no matter what everything is possible.

We consciously choose to follow these rules and laws we created, and subcnonsciously bind ourselves to them, and thus we come to understand nothing outside these rules and laws.

People who follow nothing, question these rules, laws, and beliefs have alwasy been in harms way of upsetting the balance we humans have created for ourselves. We have blocked ourselves from transending to the higher consciousness we all can reach, and have fought to the death to prevent others from reaching it.

The very reason we exsist, the very answers we think we are trying to find, are the ones we fear the most and use to creat such rules and laws to govern otehrs from ever reaching such levels of being!

I will stop now, before I get way out there. I thank those who read through it all. Open mind allows for new understandings, ideas, and abillites, think outside the box, and everything is posisble!

It's almost as though you picked all the things I've been thinking about lately directly out of my mind and put them up on this board. Which is freakin cool. I guess that's all I really have to say. Welcome to the "not like everyone else" club, Chicago. I've been a member for my 38 years in my present incarnation. Everything really is quite simple. When it is all said and done and the truth is revealed you can't help but laugh at our seriousness in the illusion of reality. What a long strange trip its been!

Sometimes I think this purpose we seek is already unfolding, it's triumph over the confines of being human. No winners or losers, just greater knowlege under different surcomstances. Every human I see is essentially me under a different set of surcomstances...Our dna is a surcomstance, our egos, our upbringing, our enviroment, our brain chemistry...underneath is our soul which is separate from all these things we carry as a vehicle on this earth, but they fog the better reasoning sometimes. Just be, and let life unfold.

This is exactly what we need, in the past people with these experiences, these lives have lived them alone, without understanding, alot of them probably ended up in looney bins, being told they were nuts every day and then finaly beleiving it, they werent/arent nuts, they just experience reality... life, more lucidly, not just their dreams but in this waking part of life. But here we can convene with one another share our experiences, thoughts, ideas and we can all grow from it. Alone we are wandering around blindly, learning things by hit and miss but with all this shared knowledge we can find out what works and what dosent best methods, along with something thats even more important, our individual experiences how we each see. The more we are exposed to the better off we will be.

Chicago I have been trying to unlearn all that nonsense for quite a while now, I've had a couple events happen to me that helped that along the way as I cannot look back at Science in the same way, hell even science itself is getting funky... human though effects the outcome of quantum descisions for f%$#s sake. In a near perfect vacuum matter just kind of appears!. That two sub atomic particles emitted at the same moment from the same source are inexherobly tied to one another through some kind of link that is not dissipated by distance and is instantaneous...

I personally think kids and adults with ADHD have something special. Ya society tells us ADHD is bad and we are problem people, chaotic, wild, carefree, and uncontrolable, but what is so wrong with that?

A teacher who can not engage a childs mind enough to draw the child's attention in order to teach that child something is doing something wrong.
Now a child with ADHD makes this task even harder for the teacher because a child with ADHD requires direct stimulant and requires a very large amount of it to maintain focus.

That child is not stupid, not slow, not dumb, retarded, or what ever people think. That child has a gift, that hopefully later in life they will come to realize and understand and develop.

The ADHD mind may have trouble with the normal everyday crap, the conformity of society, the inabillity to conform, control, stay still may be a problem, but what about the childs mind that flows so rapidly with thoughts and ideas and images, that rules and boundries can not ever truely exsist, and enver will in their mind.

How does someone wake up one day and suddenly thinks of the idea of traveling to space, and then discovers how to actually do it?

How does a person suddenly spark an interest in the possibillity that a car can run without gas, but rather on the very air we all breath daily?

The ideas flood the mind of an ADHD child and adult. The trick is these people sudden realize the gift they have, and start trying to grasp the ideas and note them down. Try to develop them, try to experiemnt them and work with them.

SO how does this relate to this site, and Lucid Dreaming? Easily. Dreaming created a thunderstorm of activity in the human brain during REM sleep. If you ever get to see and EKG of a person in REM sleep check it out, its crazy to see the needles going insane.

The connection between lucid dreamers and ADHD is simple. The removal of the rules, the boundries, the laws that humans put in place to comfort, control and explain the world we live in.

Dreaming removes these rules, laws, and boundries and presents states of understanding, believing in one self flying rather then walking to school. We know we are flying, yet most fail to realize this as anything but the norm while dreaming.
Lucid dreamers have managed to cross the threshhold of consciousness to understand and realize that they infact are dreaming, and thus start to change, effect, and influence their own dreams with some level of control and ease.

ADHD dreamers, have a distinct advantage in this area. We have never bound ourselves by the rules and laws in our world in our own mind. We never have been allowed to because we can't stay focused long enough to really care. We understand reality says gravity is real and the apple will fall to the floor if I drop it, but I still try to prove this wrong by dropping it ove rnad over waiting for it to rise instead of fall, just once.

We can talk in detail about how we view the world. Why gravity is fake, a self created force we placed on ourselves long ago and thus belived it so to make it reality, when in fact the force of gravity is just not real.

We can have this argument in such detail, enthusiasum, and with such ease. We have no really sense of a close mind, so therfore we can think freely.

The ADHD lucid dreamer has a realative sense of control and understanding that they are indeed actually dreaming. I for one can maintain and demonstrate throuhg EKG testing levels of brain wave activity normally not recorded during waking hours, as well as carry these waves and more over in REM sleep and produce the very same waves in my dreams, only this time the waves are much stronger and much more controlled.

I can induce a dream about what ever I wish at near sleep. But I find many times the dream quickly is overwelmed by other images, dreams that are deeper in the brain as I reach REM sleep. Images of the day, of people I don't know, places I have never seen before, and places I know very well but never actuall have ever been to in reality.

I have been able to know that I am dreaming, but the control has been hard to maintain. Many times I fail to induce Lucid dreams and any sort of control or understanding while medicated.

This is were it all comes together and can be understood. Medication can demonstrate my thearies and prove them very well. Because under the influence of such medication, brain waves deminish in the ADHD mind, the normal patterns start to show up, and the levels of activity deminish overall. Brain waves that were before present and showing such hightened levels of brain activity before, are no longer present.

I have yet to clearly understand and rememebr my dreams while under medication, and have yet to induce a Lucid dream with control. But when I skip my meds for a day, and maybe even two days, I find dreams clear, vivid, and many lucid. I have been known to clearly develop technology advances in computers in their entirerty in my dreams, things I never thought possible, but yet clearly possible in reality, just a little to advanced for the times.

hey, besides all of your 'adhd people are better than normal people' stuff, whats all this about 'i will drop something and at SOMETIME it will fall UP!', that is just too lame... you cant prove 'gravity wrong', gravity is gravity, there are many reasons, the atmosphere, the planet is a certain size thus causing a certan amount of gravity, the list goes on. but just saying that we restricted ourselves to it is just very lame. thought i could shed some light for you.

The fact that equation of gravity works is because of a constant, namely

"G"

Force of gravity = m*g = G*Mearth*m/d2

This constant was not solved for until nearly a century after Newton came up with the formula, by a fellow named Henry Cavendish, now he solved this using a small apparatus called a torsion balance, I wont get into it because its boring, but the value of G is a very small number that is because it takes a very large object to exert much gravitational force on an object, i.e. the earth. Oh yeah... you have to change that value of "g" in the equation too "g" is the acceleration of gravity depending on where you are if you want it to work accurately... and I don’t mean just change it when you go from earth gravity to mars gravity, you even have to change it when using it on earth depending on the substrata of the earth your elevation your latitude too.
Now... stuff they don't like to say, they had a hard time when the Space program first started up, it didn't work right... they crashed stuff into the moon they missed it, they had to tweak the G factor so it would work on that scale. Granted the equations to figuring out how to get a space craft to land on the moon were a tad larger than that simple equation the fact still stands things had to be altered and they tried until they got it right not due to mathematical or hardware problems... (they had those too)
Also at quantum levels Newtonian physics say "F&#$ that!" this craps too damned small and breaks down entirely...so in my mind...

The current theory of Gravitation is shaky at best.

Mind you I know jack shit about physics. And came up with this in a matter of a half hour, do some digging and you will come across the same stuff. But its not crazy talk I save that for raptors ninja's zombies and aliens.

Also CRW2b (sorry I'm lazy so I will abbreviate =) said an infinite amount of times, this ball was dropped, spanning the with and breadth of infinity one encounters all kinds of strange things,

Take for instance a very good example from a funny man by the name of Douglas Adams; he said if you take an Infinite number of monkeys and typewriters and have them bang on the typewriters eventually one of them will have written War and Peace. And if you had an infinite number of monkeys bangin away at typewriters you would indeed have a copy of War and Peace laying around... now finding it and dodging all the angry monkeys throwing poo at you that would be another story. (Monkeys love to throw poop)

In an infinite universe and time scale anything is quite possible, in that you will encounter an infinite amount of influences on say dropping a ball so at least one of those times the ball will not fall.

Try not to follow science too devoutly, it's still in its infancy we keep proving ourselves wrong over and over again, that is one good thing about it though, there is a measurable growth of knowledge. But like I said, that old universal gravitation equation may be thrown out one day for something that works on galactic, planetary, and quantum scales.

I don’t think CRW2b meant that ADHD people are better, I think he was trying to bring to light that most people think it’s a bad thing, while its really just a bad thing for lazy yuppie, hire a nanny, go play videogames, get outamy hair parents, and old crusty teachers that get irritated when they are questioned about things THEY never bothered to ask abou and don’t quite understand.

The gravitational constant, g, is an experimentally derived number. They had to test it by dropping things I believe. Physics has no satisfactory explanation of why gravity works. Some theorize about a gravitron, but no one has ever observed one.

String theory has an explanation for gravity, but it's still a long way from being completed (in terms of other properties of the universe besides gravity). String theory does account for the four major forces in the universe; gravity, magnetism, strong nuclear force, and weak nuclear force.

There's a book called "The Elegant Universe" by Brian Greene. It explains it well.

Nix-man, I understand what your saying, and do not deny your point, but like I said, and Serinanth also pointed out, was that I was trying to demonstrate the idea that humans limit themselves to a finate situation, a finate amount fo time, always a finate egauation to everything around them.
It is very easy to think in a finate system, under rules, laws, and boundries we humans created to expain the unknown.

We except gravity as true, real, and understood, but that is because we were taught to except it as real. Here solve this mathmatical equation it proves gravity really does exist. Here we can experiemtn with it and show you further proof its real, and in a sense, they are telling the truth.

What I was stating is the idea that it is just as real and true that gravity is not real, and something created by humans to explain an unknow force we can't explain. If one removes the rules, the laws that govern our understanding, and allows themselves to entertain the idea without restrictions of this world, you will quickly find that it is very possible that gravity exists only in our minds, and has become such a normal thought process that we stopped questioning it after some time.

My point here is this: Why not question everything?


This is not about who is right or worng, or whats real or not, but more about thinking differently abut the world and universe we find ourselve sin right now.

The average life span of a human being ranges around 70 to 90 years old.
Think about this for a second.

The average years you will live on earth will be about 80 years we will say for now.

80 years

A child will tell you that 80 years is such a long time to them. 80 years is very old to a child. Ask a child to wait 80 years and they will tell you its way to long and not possible, it's jsut to long of a time.

A middle aged adult (30-40) will tell you that 80 years is too short. Just not enough time, it just flys by you the odler you get. You blink and before you know it your 80 years old. We are jsut not here long enough, and 80 years just feels like a short amount fo time to live.

A human who is 80 years old will tell you much of the same things. But many of them tend to also say that 80 years is such a long time to live. What they have done in 80 years, all the work, success, failures, experiences, love, hate, emotions, understanding, knowledge they have gained in 80 years, just amazes them at how long 80 years is to them.


Humans naturally think in a finate way. But 80 years in respect to life as a whole is nothing more then a brief moment in time. A part so small humans can't easily understand jsut how small 80 years is in respects to everything.

To limit ones mind to a finate thought process is much easier and comfortable then to allow the mind to open up and freely question everything. The brain hs some amazing abillities held deep within that humans are only starting to understand and explore.

Lucid dreaming has always been possible, humans are only now starting to explore this new unknown area of the human mind. Waht will we discover, what will we learn?

How is it possible that a human being can dream about events that have yet to pass, understand and know that theya re truely dreaming, create and change the dream at will, experiment, and understand the effects and outcome of such events, before they have even come to pass, and thus wake, find themselves in that very same event in reality, and know exactly the outcome of this event and all possible choices that can be made, and when that moment happens, that person knowing the outcomes of all choices, knwoing the effects of those choices before they have passed, makes the very same choice they intended to make, knowing of its outcome, yet still making the same choice?

Think about this for a second, I know I switch gears here, but I think I am on to something so go with me here.

We dream of events, dialy activities, conversations, choices, things we have already done, or have yet to do. Some people call this deja vu, and we all know the feeling when we realize it.

You have been there before, heard that said already, know what will happen already. At that moment we are presented with a very small window in which to make a choice.

Same with lucid dreaming of such events in life. We dream them, play them out in our dreams, maybe a conversation between lovers about a problem they are having, and you have dreamed each choice, and each effects and consiguenses of those choices, and know what you should do.

That moment happens, you suddenly and with much surprise to yourself realize, "deja vu" I have done this already, WOW!". At that moment in time you are given a small window of choice.

What I have discovered in my own experiemntation into this situation, is that no matter how many times I find myself in that position of "deja vu" feelings, or that conversations I have already heard in my dreams, every single time I have that moment of choice, I have always failed to take it.

I have always said, done, acted the very way I know I normally would have, and yet I knew very well that if I made a different choice things would have happened differently.

So why do I still make the same choice every time? Why with the knowledge I have of the event, the conversation, what ever the case, knowing that I can do, or say, or act in a differnet specific way and this will happen instead, do I find myself always no taking that different road?

Think about it, think about such cases in your own life, has it happened to you, and what happend each time you realized that moment of choice?

This discovery has lead me to think of a lot of things, but one thing in particular keeps coming up in my mind over and over again.

We each are on a different path in life, and beyond. We each are connected to each other in some way. Our subconsious knows this path, and of its true outcome before we consciously understand it. When we are presented with an event in our lives that crosses with another subconsious's event we feel a sort of deja vu, because subconsiously we have traveled this path already, and to make a different choice at that moment would cause our subconsious to cross with another, connect on a level never before heard of, and the effects of that choice are totally unknown to the huamn mind on a conscious level of understanding, and thus our own subconscious, knowing the path before it already as one of understanding and comfort, denies our conscious abillity to actually chose differently at these moments in our life.

By denying ourselves to chose differently, our subconscious protects our well being under a comfort and understanding of our world, our rules, or laws. To actually break free and make a different choice would cause our subconscious selfs to connect ona level we do not understand as of yet, which the effects of such a choice are unknown to humans.

Has someone done such a thing already? Ya I think so. What does it mean? Where does it lead us? I have no clue, but I will be the first to say that I would take that adventure into the unkown, and have been searching for it since I was created.

I skimmed elegant universe, but didnt grab it, I will probably do so now, string theory and the whole dark matter debate is really interesting, its funny how so many different scientists beleive totaly different things.

Ugh Deja vu is drivin me crazy lately, one night at work it was so strong, unbelevably so, I was walking down the hall... stopped and looked at one of the phones on the wall...it rang, I knew it was Rodney one of my team mates, there was a problem with NVW702 (a machine) the test fire failed for minimum thickness, he was going to try it again on one of the other tools....

I picked the phone up, it was Rodney, I was about to tell him what he was going to tell me, the phone died, I stood there, my mind reeling what the f*#$ is going on. I said hello? hello? dude? he then said, that was weird, well NVW702 failed... my brain kinda overloaded and shut down for a moment, I was stunned. I felt like something kept me from telling what was wrong, before he could say it, If I was able, I think the shadow of a doubt that still resides in me would have been banished.

Remembering that still gives me the heebiejeebies.

Some paths are harder to find than others.

But have worked through both of them. One cool thing tho, When I was like 5-9 I could play nintendo and junk with controller upside down. pretty kewl eh?

im adhd, dyslexic... dysgraphic and umm WERID.. just plain weird... and man do I have it bad. I mean, my mind moves so fast that well, I try to make friends my own age... but it seems I dont get along with them im told I do, but I feel more comfortable with kids.. not like 7 8 y/o i mean like 14..15.. where they are old enough to know right form wrong. (im 27) im not some sick perv. My girlfriend (23) knows how i feel, and supports me (shes jsut as immature, but at the same time knows when to be professonal. I dont HANG around with these "kids" I am a member of a scout troop (im an eagle and never left the group) so on campouts im like the big kid... and have a ball, the group loves me there. and dont really care, its not liek I tent with them, I always prefer to be alone, plus there are rules good a good reason. anyway I rambled way to much.. ANYWAY

I have dreams all the time that I am peaing.. either on a tree, or somewhere.. twice now I Have wet the bed. (once at age 11, and 16. to this day im still afraid that its goign to happen again. so, even if I go cabin camping I take a tent. once in a while i'll cabin camp (when im not worying about it or forget to worry about it (which i should)

I bet, weener, that you could cure yourself of your fear of bedwetting by making sure to reality check every time you need to piss. Also, and I'm sure you do this already, you can piss before you go to sleep just to be sure. :wink:

Well, I understand OCD as well. I had a small spat of that, but not a diagnosis. for a while I had this thing where I had to do everything in intervals of 3. or I had to place my pencil down in a vertain position... or things had to be done in even numbers.. (the 3 thing changed..) I understand it. I finally realized it was somply my mind going 500Mph and my body going 100.. anyway. I do take a wizz before bed, but my pint sized bladder is just not large enough for me.. thank god im an outdoorsman, jsut find a tree whip it out and go. made that mistake in a dream once... well I woke up dry.

That sounds like ocd to me...my brother has to have all the lables on bottles in fridge faceing out. He went on zoloft for awhile and it really mellowed him out and made him alot easier to be around, but it made him gain weight, and he's alittle vain so he went off it. Sometimes I wonder if I have a touch of adhd....sometimes I feel like I'm all over the place...I start a million art projects and never finish them.
