Using Attack Names (like in anime)
In one of my dreams last night I was semi-lucid and my lucidity was triggered by this fight that was going on around me. Or people were trying to capture me. Either way I was in a large building with 12-18 foot high pillars or stacks of freight containers. It might have been a warehouse of some kind. Anyway I was needing to escape to higher ground away from the fight and was having trouble just flying up away from it. Then I started shouting names out loud of a jumping move, like Large Hop! or Big Jump!, I can't remember exactly what I said but it was corny lol. Anyway it worked! I was able to jump up on top of these objects away from my pursuers. Normally I'd have to imagine myself doing some telekinesis or willing myself to jump around like that. Perhaps it was because I wasn't fully lucid (I didn't have that "aha!" moment, I just suddenly gained more awareness) that I was having trouble and needed to figure out a different way of breaking the laws of dream physics. Later on I tried Luffy's Gum Gum no Gatling move on a pile of crates and it was actually working! Then I lost lucidity shortly after since this prompted Smoker to attack me :huh:
Anyway I can see why characters use attack names now, I need to try this again the next time I'm lucid.
