Strange things, anyone experience this?

Last night I had this strange experience upon becoming fully lucid.

I was riding some sort of scooter through an empty town, empty in that there were no people around, and at one point I realized "hey there's no one around that's weird... oh this must be a dream!". Usually I'd tend to gloss over this fact, but I stopped and paused to confirm this thought. I got off the scooter and was looking around, and yes in fact I was dreaming. People and crowds suddenly started to appear in front of me. I was thinking it was interesting that on becoming lucid people started to fill up the empty space. Then as I realized more about being in a dream things started to get weird. And by weird, I mean different than what usually happens when I get lucid.

I started to remember my "waking life" and how it was weird that I should have amnesia going into the dream state. And now I remembered "who I was" from when I was awake. Then I started to walk forward, and I tripped. I fell over, and I kept falling over. I couldn't walk straight without falling. I started to become really euphoric and then thought to myself to calm down and center. I was looking around and the ground had changed from being a asphalt street to this morphing and undulating malleable surface. I remembered to try rubbing my hands together to stabilize the dream, but they felt very tingly, vibrating, and "static", like they weren't entirely whole but not entirely hollow either. Maybe saying they felt "fuzzy" rubbing them together is a valid description also. So anyway, it didn't help to stabilize the dream but it did feel interesting. Around the dream, everything started to glow and feel like it was dissolving. I had felt a combination of being centered and the dream feeling euphoric at the same time. Like two sides of a coin. Then I ended up halfway waking up and entering into another dream I think... anyway was wondering if anyone had this happen to them before. And I was confused in retrospect because I thought by myself being calm that the dream would stabilize, but it was almost as if becoming lucid triggered something in the dream state to make it end. Perhaps I should try verbal commands next time.

Yeahhh, I believe I've had a similar experience before in one of my lucids. It was one of those dreams where you fall in love with a DC...everything was amazing and euphoric and it slowly glowed and dissolved, and my emotions were that of longing and desire not to wake up. And yeah, I was filled with a peaceful serenity at the time. If I recall correctly, nothing external woke me up, I think my REM period just ended.

And yes, verbal commands do tend to help. Also it might be helpful to stabilize the dream by interacting with your surroundings by touching whatever you can and paying attention to how it feels. That's saved me from waking up often. Although I do sometimes wonder how silly I must look to DC's, because often I just throw myself at the ground and crawl all over it lol :P

Hey, I was asking if anyone had experienced something similar in regard to my last paragraph. My dream has never started to dissolve, glow, or make me trip over myself before. Or have that moving, undulating ground all around me. It was different for me because usually my dream scene has remained the same from the transition to lucidity, and in this instance everything was changing around me. So my question is: has this happened to anyone else, or anything similar happen to anyone else?

I've been seeing the advice of "touching things in the dream for stabilization" often on this forum lately. Haha that reminds me of another short lucid I had a while back. Meant to post it here, maybe will do that later. Anyway I had become lucid on a bus and then promptly stood up and told everyone I was lucid. All the DCs on the bus were looking at me with blank expressions lol. They had nothing to say.

As to your experience, yes! That sounds like what was happening to me, except without the DC and love aspect. Aw man now I wish I would've dove into the ground; it seriously looked like waves in a ocean. I think I was close to REM ending as well as I actually woke up for real a while later. Yeah I need to do verbal commands and touching things more in the dream to stabilize it. It was really amazing though seeing the glowing everywhere and perceiving the dissolving was a new one. Will have to inspect this further if it happens again.

When I was lucid I've experienced the dream world, I and dream characters being sucked into a small hole. Which changed the dream setting. Its funny cause it was after I shouted for the dream to become more vivid and rubbed my hands to stabilize the dream. The dream went on for a while after the setting changed so it was a good idea. Another time the dream was starting to fade and become white but I payed attention to a pizza plate/ rubbing my hands and touching a dc that was still kind of visible. I had to wait a few seconds patiently till the dream came back though. Felt like a loading screen. XD Another time it happened but I did nothing to stop it. I was engulfed by the white nothingness, couldn't move but appeared in another setting that only lasted a few seconds.Another time I was engulfed in white nothingness and fell into a dark hole after SP. I managed to change it into another dream place though. But it lasted for a small amount of time cause I didn't stabilize it I guess. Either that or my dad was talking too loud. XD I don't remember. Also, sometimes in a lucid dream your feelings can be influenced by the dream. For example, I was flying near a snowy forest in a dream before and i had a feeling i had been there before. Like a emotional nostalgic feeling. (Its weird xD)You might even forget things you should know when your awake (like a name/task)but its not everytime it happens.

Wow, yeah that's pretty crazy too haha! The loading screen feeling, lol nice. I haven't had stuff like that happen in a while but yeah its funny with how dreams can be. Hmm I will just have to try to remember my goals next time and carry them out. Looks like verbal commands are a go though :)

I haven't seen any type of nothingness lately but I've been having some weird stuff happen (possibly SP?) after transitioning out of lucids/halfway waking up. I don't know will have to post it in beyond dreaming I think.

Unfortunately, I don't really have any solid advice to give you. I'm quite sorry. But I did want to say that I couldn't help but laugh a little when I read this part "Then I started to walk forward, and I tripped. I fell over, and I kept falling over. So thank you :) it's great to start the morning off with a laugh, even a small one.

This might sound crazy, but if it happens again maybe try placing your hands in front of your eyes, imagining you'll be somewhere else, and then when you take them off the scene will have changed. I've never tried this, so I have no idea if it would be of help or if it would be the opposite.

I thought it was funny too lol. Oh I haven't heard that one about hands in front of my eyes, I'll have to try that next time!

One of the strangest dream ends I have had is when the world around me started to melt and leave a void behind; when everything was gone, then the void melted upwards and I would find myself with my eyes open.

And when DCs wake me up, generally the dream will flash very strongly before fading... thats so annoying.

It reminded me somehow the way water used to behave in some of my lucids. Like the lake was a huge water mattress.

You should never get your physical emotions in your dream. You need to pay atention to your dream and dont think about your body. As somebody on this thred said you need to pay attention to your suroondings and explore them that may give longer and clearer lucid dreams.
