People. Not necessarily because of sexual attraction, but because I want to meet someone who is most likely disguised as some other dream character.
PS: might want to add and "Other" option ;)
That sounds cool. Like your on some spy mission. Lol But could you explain what you mean by disguised?
Well.. it should be food to be honest, due to being a raw vegan. But my nymphomaniac tendencies tend to override the food :hump:
Ladiezzzzz  unless I'm really, hardly, highly concentrated... :meditate:
Usually an uncontrollable sexual urge, not even joking but I never really get to the point where I can start doing it.
Most of the time though I'm in control of my actions and desires.
Hi,
For me it seems to be sudden destabilization of dream
There's no any signs that dream is ending except Dream Characters suddenly getting dull or just standing in frozen position
And then waking up.
I guess i'il need to experiment more with my stabilization techniques :yeah
XD Lol Wow. Sorry I laughed but I know how hard it can be for you guys. At least you have control over it at times so that's good. :3
If only there was a better sign that told us the dream is going to end. I find it hard to keep the dream going for a long amount of time too. Even if I stabilize it the amount of extra time is few. But I guess if we knew how to stabilize every time and the dream kept going on and on we'd be stuck in the dream for a long time without knowing it. XDQuote:

Yeah, XD
That'd be pretty hilarious yet atleast better than waking up shortly after start of our journey in lucid dream
It might be just that i'm either forgetting to stabilize or i just stabilize as dream is about to collapse (Which would be useless at this point?)
I guess i'il just try out atkins513's guide:
http://www.dreamviews.com/dream-cont...-hours-ld.html
I just read it now. Sounds like a good tutorial. I will try it too.: D
Y'all know what I'm going to say, I'm sure.....
For those who don't know me, just about every single LD I have goes like this:
+ Hey, I'm lucid, cool!
+ (Look around a bit, maybe remember a goal)
+ About time for a girl!
+ (Summon or walk up to one), engage
+ wake up a second later
+ think "ah, man!"
I almost never get end-of-dream signals, because my girl-based dream-endings are (I suspect) adrenaline-based and it's a quick rush and suddenly I'm out, no chance to respond.
My very first LD had a slow fade to gray that I recovered from with a quick spin. I've never experienced that since, dream exit is almost instantaneous.
What I have noticed though is that during that just prior to sudden dream exit my mind/attention is usually withdrawn into "feeling" my experience, as opposed to continuing to notice (visually) and stay engaged with the dream scene around me. "Getting into my head" (like trying to remember goals, or preparing to do a summon) also has lost a few dreams.
I swear, ONE of these LDs soon, I will eventually ignore ALL females and just explore and interact (talk) as long as I can just to see how long I can keep it going.
With the time it will get better, (Atleast it did for me).
In my first lucid dreams i couldn't remember what was my lucid task that i had on mind earlier nor even could make it up on run while being in dream.
And had similiar problem with sexual desires taking over.
If i couldn't remember my ld task then they'd just take me over
Or they would do so randomly without any reason even if i had ld task on my mind :nodyes:
As the lots of lucid dreams passed this stuff just worn off
Hopefully it will be same for you :yeah
Our memory n' consciousness might maybe need to get used to lucid dreaming state :cheeky:
Lol I'm like that, but better :cheeky:
For me it goes like this:
+"Oh, I'm dreaming!"
+"Calm down, relax "
+"remember my goal to teleport to my favorite show
+Search for a door
+See the door, but see a bed between me and the door, always has a cute girl laying on it
+"I'm not in a rush"
+Do some quick buzzinezz, like kissing, or other oral action (it's always oral. What can I say, I'm a taster! :})
+"Enough of that, now let's get to the real deal"
+ Try to teleport
+ Fail miserably and wake up!
I can have sex but I can't attempt teleportation without losing it??!!!
I swearzz it, like really swearzz it next time I'm romamticaling-it-up, I'll have HER open the portal!!
"Na-ah huny, you ain't havin' any lollipops till u open ada portal!"
I have no word for this. LOL :cackle:
For me it used to be the moon. I had a goal to get there and then I couldn't do it. Then I finally decided to give it up, but for months after that I still tried to get to the moon every LD. I made it though, and it was awesome. :shadewink: I don't really have any big distractions now, I can stay away from dream girls most of the time. Food is normally just something I do on my way to a goal, I fight people a lot purposefully though, and I often use electronics as a medium for dream control. :)
Its great that you were determined enough that you accomplished your goal. In what way do you use the electronics for dream control? : 3
For distractions I have a problem with several things, in order.
A dream forest.
Books.
New foods/cooking.
If I see a forest, will have to get there at least for a second before I continue to do whatever the hell I am doing at the time.
If I find a book in a dream, will have to read at least the first 3 pages to know the content... sometimes that ends up in me reading several dream books over the span of several dreams <.<
OR if I see a new kind of food will have to try cooking it.
For weakness it is different though; I used to have a very high weakness to dream music, hearing it would make me go berserk. Now it is mostly a weakness to talkative DCs, they annoy me but feel like it would be rude of me to kill them before they finish talking.
Every type of dream control you can think of. Easy teleporting, easy summoning, controlling DCs, and ordering food! :) if I get stuck I just get on my phone and use some "apps" on there.
It looks like "Others" could have been a better option than the "Bad Guys" in the poll so far .
I thought the poll could be edited when I posted it cause I never used the poll option. Sorry. I was still planning it out in my mind at the time. >- -<
Hmmmm..... After thinking about it, it's better that I'm calm in dreams and can widstand excitement, and I guess teleportation is failing just cuz I'm scared it would. The same way I practiced keeping calm, I'll practice my expectations to let it work using daydreaming!
Soooooooo...... ÒvÓ NO!!!
*Pssssst..... try remembering to stay calm and lucid when imagining you're in a LD during your RC or R-I practice.... That's what I did ... *
In non lucids and semi-lucids it is bad guys, definitely. In lucid dreams, it is people in general, most of the time females.
My own curious mind seems to be the big distraction for me. I like to look at things in lucid dreams, because they are always so clear and vivid, looking at something is like zooming in with an LSD microscope...it's fascinating. I used to have the sexy boy problem when I began, but I just slowly kind of got over it. Those needs can be fulfilled in real life. :P
I didn't mean it sexually, well at least not just sexually ;) For some reason it's always the dialogue with females that involves me too much into their plot and I lost lucidity over that twice.
For some reason I don't go caveman mode when I LD, but I really like to fly. It's like... "oh, lucid! wheres the next window.. *jumps*"
Yeah, and you can just go visit an electron microscope in real life, too. Nah, you know, it's just *not the same* :)
I too (non-lucidly though) get distracted just looking at things up close: bizarre door latch mechanisms, especially, for some reason really fascinate me and I stand there looking and thinking about how they work for a long time.
And lucidly, when I really *look*, I get fascinated by the colors and the patterns....I can just stand and look and look....
My brain always puts me in the most badass environment and i usually end up exploring instead of doing some crazy dream control magic.
I still enjoy the journeys that i have but i just want time to fly and pull cars out of my pocket.
Σ(゚ロ゚) Yeah..Another possibility other than guys would be a clone of themselves. - w -" The possibilities are endless. Not that I do it but its sadly possible. OTL
WOAH! That's cool. XD Never thought of pulling a car out my pocket before.
Lol, just thought of it myself, now I want to try it.
lack of enthusiams
Happens to me too at times. Maybe changing the dream scene into a certain genre(SciFi/Mecha/Action...etc) could make things more interesting. : D
Definitely what I need to be able to do. I'm still trying and I freaking can't teleport x(
My last LD, a night ago, I tried to fly, I didn't try flying yet in my dreams, and I was too scared! I increased the dream vividness before through concentrating at small details, so the dream was very real I couldn't jump! I was like "it's just a dream, do it!", then just bailed lol
I pray to the LDing gods, please grant me the ability to teleport! And to the Valve gods, please send me a portal gun into my LDs! XD
Lol Aww. Don't worry you'll get it and yeah, high heights can be kind of scary. Honestly, I find myself teleporting in the weirdest ways. Like closing my eyes and shaking my head when something scary is happening or when I'm fighting I jump, close my eyes and focus on a target to teleport to.Its great you were able to increase the vividness and it sounds like your doing great so far. Maybe having a dream flying buddy will help you get use to the height. Having one helped me get use to it.Haha x D I can see that happening for you soon. Maybe you should try calling them in your dream.Quote:

I actually want to get a dream guide to help me in my LDs! I chose a pretty anime girl to be my DG! ÔvÔ
When I would call her, she would come because she's my DG and my expectation expects her to. Also she'd help me in control, and teleportation! Tell her to do the old door trick!
The only problem is... Ughm yup you must have guessed it already haha I love LDing!
I'm even getting my own little dream tablet that's supposed to control the dream! Has all the functions! Open portal, summon, increase dream vividness, etc. It's gonna be awesome!!
Haha Sounds like a cool DG and its good that you enjoy lucid dreaming so much. O.o A dream tablet!? Send me one. XDlol
Dont know what to do most of the time
Eyesight, it seems to go all derpy. But I can handle it :D
My Distraction? Bad Guys and Saboteurs.
Dream Creatures and Astral Beings that try to ruined my Lucid Dream or harm the more friendly Dream Creatures that are in the scene. A mix of my fears, vices, and imagination manifesting as monsters or sub-human creatures. I'm a guy that strongly believes in "Fighting the good fight" And i try to remain positive of life. So a lot of the Negative things i carry stay in the back of my mind. Seems like they come to me in dreams and trying to destroy the lucid dream and make it a nightmare by making my fear grow, possibly from my doubts or me actually fearing for what happens to my dream allies/guides ..and it can become a battle.
Granted this situation happens from time to time. But "Bad Guys" is probably my biggest distraction .
I know how you feel about the bad guys thing but its good to know you remain positive. :) Once I had a dream a zombie was after me and I ran into the room where my dream guide was. Surprisingly he told me to remain calm as he was trying to sleep/relax. But I kept insisting the monster zombie be destroyed or it would eat us. He got tired of my whining and like always ended up beating up the zombie than came back in the room. I guess what I'm trying to get out of this is sometimes we don't even have to fight in dreams. Perhaps thinking of another outcome and not giving into the distraction is enough.
That's true. I have a tendency to face my fears aggressively, especially if the nightmare is compelling and appears dangerous enough. I know it's easier to "will them away" But i get caught up in the moment as a challenge to my psyche. Gives me the notion that it won't come back if i do it this way. Destroy the mental block or mind invader in your mind, and it won't settle again to haunt you. At least that's how i see it.
But your right about just relaxing though, that is so much easier.
Lol (〃^∇^) b That is a good one! Clever choice of words LouiaB.
Thank you!! :D
I actually discovered a new dream weakness. It's an idea or a worry that I keep getting while lucid. I keep worrying that the dream would turn black, and because I keep worrying about that, it does turn black!
Being haunted by a thought that kills my dream lol
Your welcome. :) If the scenery changes to black, turn it into a advantage by thinking of another scenery. XD I hate being in the dark in dreams too.
Flying, probably. Every LD I've had was me trying to fly or flying. And that's like not even on my list of the things I want to do.
