First WILD?
I am lying on my back, facing the door in my bedroom. I have been attempting to WILD for maybe 5-10 minutes and I start hearing voices saying "you're about to dream". I am not alarmed as I know this is just hypnogogic imagery. My bedroom starts flickering into darkness and I open my eyes, I am disappointed, I must not have waited long enough before I opened my eyes. I perform a reality check by covering my nose and trying to breathe and it fails! I then think "Wow, I'm lucid and this is just a false awakening" and I wake up. Any tips on how to prolong WILDs so I don't wake up so quickly next time?
Thanks!

Definitely a WILD man, congratulations! How long have you been attempting to WILD?
I've never achieved a WILD, but I'm pretty sure a lot of successful WILD's start with False Awakenings.
To prolong dreams, I really like this guide. I've yet to test it properly due to forgetting to stabilise at the start of my LD's.

I liked this one too, it's looks at it in another perspective.

Yeah, just as CHiLLEN said :yeah
I can advice you one more thingy, do not fear about waking up or dream ending, be confident that you will be there as long as you want. You might accidentally produce false awakenings if during the dream you will think or fear that you might wake up :-P

Going of on what you've experienced than that could mean I've missed a dozen LDs during my 'failed' WILD-attempts... :(
